Highly recommend you experience the story. Very worth the read.

I don’t like design in chapter 3 (or 4). You suppose to meat with green unit, but after you do that chapter continues and you have no turn, enemies attack. In worst case scenario you can die there easily. Game doesn’t worn you that the first objective is not final, so entire strategy can fall apart. There’s barely room to breathe in those chapters and they start hard. Elfire in tutorial, promoted units from the start. No time to know the characters, because each chapter has different party, pretty chaotic, and you are forced to rush in each chapter, something I hate most in FE games if they tell me how to play 
It doesn’t mean the game is bad. Character design is amazing, story seems okay, but vibe reminds me FE10, which for me is the worst one since FE6. Unnecessarily difficult and split armies are not fun to me. So that’s why I can’t play more than one chapter per session, it’s too tiring, but it’s good, just tiring. It’s like Dark Souls 2 in FE romhacks world. Good game, but exhausting experience. I had to quit after ch5, because 15 turns is way too fast to kill boss, I barely even reach him by turn 15, I hate rush maps and I refuse to participate in this shitshow, I play on normal, it should be at least 20 turns, especially that there’s arena here. On hard, sure, 15 might be okay, but normal in this game is way, way, way too difficult to enjoy it. It has also bug: Radahn is supposed to get bonus move after attacking, but he doesn’t have additional move after attack, sometimes he does, sometimes he can even attack twice in a row, but it’s not consistent and hard to tell where this skill actually triggers.
Radahn supposed to finish off the enemy to activate his gale force bow and move again .. not just attacking .. didn’t tutorial give you 3 promoted units in lower corner of the map..??
“the homecoming” romhack have 8 turn rush map with 3 bosses ..

As someone who’s recently played through both Dark Amulet and Shadow of Dawn, I feel like my mind has been turned to mush when it comes to other romhacks for a while. Truly a spectacular experience, marred only for the fact that I have to wait for Tyranny of Light now lol

His skill description shows he can move after attacking, not after using bow, so it’s confusing. But entire game design is all over the place, not user friendly. You can’t make a tactic game with throwing reinforcements out of nowhere to make player move faster, it’s horrible, don’t do that, it’s not fun, game is ruined. Man, what a downgrade from great Dark Amulet. Next time please make some play tests and balance normal difficulty.
The Dark Amulet is somehow even harder than The Shadow of Dawn .. there was enemy chase rush map with mist ..The Dark Amulet has turn limit maps too .. infinite enemy paladin reinforcement map .. don’t you remember..?? and I’m not dev or play tester .. 
The reinforcements aren’t ‘out of nowhere’ tho. It’s always telegraphed to the player with story context that there will be reinforcements happening in a map. It wouldn’t make sense if the story tells you to hurry and then suddenly having enough time to do whatever you want.
I too prefer my games a little more slow paced than the usual. But trying to say an opinion is objectively correct? You already lost me there.

I just wanted to say that this was one of the best experiences I had with a FE romhack, it was truly peak. The characters, the gameplay, the story, everything was so good. Thank you so much for creating this game, I’m very excited for the next one!

In Chapter 14, the bottom left and right tiles of the villages are road terrain instead of being impassable like normal.
Naveyan villages. Shoddy craftsmanship. Can walk right over the fences!

Your story telling has gotten even better than before. The music is fantastic especially in 22x/23.
I’m sad about you killing some of my favorite characters from The Dark Amulet despite me expecting some of them to go.
I can’t wait for what you have in store next

Ok ok ok, this is my first post ever, but when I tell you I NEED tyranny of light I NEED it lolol. I have played through and beat ALOT of hacks and Dark Amulet and Shadow of Dawn are chefs kiss man SHEESH! Please Don’t kill Sevran Alexias Or Hilda! they are my faves. My Hilda in DA was OP. Love the whole Genealogy of the holy war thing we are gonna get into with Edrics daughter Serut and Radahns kid and also I assume Edgars kid is gonna be there too and duke Cassius. EDRIC CANNOT BE DEAD PLEASE! FAWK Madelina and keep up the good work. Thank you for making an actual sequel to your first hack because most of these hack “Sequels” only take place in the same universe but this one is an ACTUAL sequel and I love it! FOR REDENZE!!!

Mann every character in this game is written so well, i wish someday fire emblem hack technology is advance enough so people’s can replicate fire emblem fate romance system.

I’m not quite done with the game yet (just a few chapters left), but I have a feeling that it’s going to be my favorite FE game, rom hack or not, of all time. Sometime during the summer, I’m going to come back to this page and sing its praises in the way it deserves.
For now, though, I’d just like to say that Cassandra is my favorite and potentially best written Lord of all time. She’s easily on the level of Rena and Ellerie to me, and depending on how her story ends, she may even surpass them.
Great job on this game, man. I can’t wait to see what you come up with next.

Oh, two more things: on the dark amulet page, you gave a list of romances that were “canon” for the purposes of the sequel. Out of curiosity, do you have a similar list here?
Second, I hope to at some point write an effortpost for the original Dark amulet about Miley + Galen on that thread, and maybe a seperate one for Elyse. You really have a knack for determining simple, but effective prf weapons that can enhance a unit without making them busted.
