Absolutely brilliant sequel, and what a tease for the eventual third game.
A quick question before I return with more composed thoughts; the game ended up freezing after the final ending card popped up. Was there any additional scene past them?

There is nothing after the ending cards. Just darkness forever ![]()
I just got done with this game only a few moments ago (having beaten the Dark Amulet last week) and felt the need to make an account on this forum I’ve been lurking on for months to express just how much I enjoyed it.
The gameplay was tough but felt well tuned, but let’s be real, the story. This story is so damn good. This absolutely succeeds at having a story and overall experience that stands alongside the main series, and I would argue, surpasses it with the amount of writing you were able to cram through its supports, gaiden chapters, and regular cutscenes. At many times I just had to put my controller down to properly take in all sorts of great character moments and/or plot twists that sent my brain spinning thinking of lore implications. I will also specifically mention my boy Walter, my goodest boy, thank you for making him so fun to use and also great to read in conversations.
And to learn at the very end that this was actually all a buildup to a third game? I honestly thought this would be it. I am incredibly looking forward to see what you’ve got cooking next and will look forward to think up theories about this great world you’ve crafted.
So I just wanna make sure I didn’t miss anything, when does Radahn promote? I just got to chapter 24 and hes still unpromoted. Is there supposed to be a story event that I missed? I figured it would’ve happened when he became Grand General but it hasn’t happened and hes super falling behind as my only unpromoted unit.
Radahn gets his promotion item in like chapter 16, on the defend rivkah map right after the flashback chapter. Did you lose it or something?
I dont remember specifically getting something for him but I could’ve missed it. What’s it called?
Do armies merge in ch 10 or is this temporary? Want to make sure I divide resources evenly
It’s the Dark Seal, I’m pretty sure.
Temporary and you only have access to 1 of the convoys, Cassandra’s i think.
Am on ch 15xand holy shit I hate Sevran so much as soon as it is possible am killing him, why you killing so many of my goats from dark amulet my heart can’t take it
Is Sheila’s inventory put into convoy before she gets put into coma? Or do I need to empty her beforehand?
It’s put into the convoy. ![]()
Is the only way to get to chest in ch22 warp staff?(NVM map has showed itself, sorry for being impatient)
Unlike previous reviews, I’ll mainly give feedback because I see a Maestro who is going continue giving us great hacks! I hope my comments are informative.
So, I’ve played both of your games, and here’s a few factors to consider:
I don’t mind difficult games, but I think characters splitting does sometimes handicap the players really hard especially when some of those characters are holding onto the items you need. To prevent this, I think a simple reminder to move the items or allow item rearrangement before the pivotal moments can help especially when you have to prepare for a survive chapter where you get massive reinforcements.
Also, I’ve noticed that the gold was shared (correct me if I’m wrong), even though the convoy was separate. That really hurt for certain chapters when I needed flux tomes for Serut on a survive chapter!)
I really liked his depiction as the realistic Innes/Ephraim who are Chads with amazing martial prowess and can score good looking women but has a massive destructive ego (kind of like that popular guy you knew from school). However, I think the general community hatred against him highlights more of his incomplete depiction than his idiotic moves. I think if we see more of his childhood (like flashbacks on how his father was tough of him. Or because he was so damn talented that people thought he could do no wrong. Or he had to prove everyone wrong that he felt he should NEVER show weakness), he would have a much more sympathetic view. When we look at leaders who make massive political blunders, we usually see that they have massive personal histories/vendettas behind them. If you want an example, Ellerie from Cerulean Cresent is a great character who commits massive war crimes but has a very sympathetic story.
Despite these critiques, I really enjoyed your hacks, love your story telling, and your balance of low growth rates with generous stat boosters and prep armories being expensive. I cannot wait to see the conclusion of this trilogy(?)!
Wait are support amounts limited?did i lock myself out of Hilda Alexias A support because i supported sevran with alexias?
Only one A support is allowed. Otherwise supports are infinite. As long as you didn’t get Alexias-Sevran to A, you can still get Alexias-Hilda A support.
Okay looks like misunderstood what remaining supports in supports menu mean, thx
Hello, this is my first time ever comment on this site though i’ve been playing FE hacks since forever, i don’t know if y’all generally write big walls of text here but after completing this game i feel like i need to
So this game is my top 3 FE hacks EVER, probably on par with The Morrow’s Golden Country and Souls of The Forest, i can’t speak for sure because i have a not-so-good memory but story wise this is probably the best story i’ve ever saw in the entire Fire Emblem (both official AND hacks, hacks tend to be better than the official games anyways), i NEVER knew what to expect, ever (and boy… the one thing i expected for the ending ended up being COMPLETELY opposite of what i imagined… i’m waiting for what you have in store for us after that because… it was as shocking as it got me excited for more, though i got sad for some characters)
I played The Dark Amulet but didn’t manage to complete it because i unfortunately found it too hard, but I could understand the story just fine too and it got me hooked 100% of the time, there was also some of the most charismatic characters i’ve ever saw in FE games (like ezra, sevran, darin, alexias, even cassandra had some sick moments on a good day), i really fell in love with so many of your characters and i think there’s not much else i could write that can express how much i loved this game, so thank you, really, i’ll always remember this one
After playing Dark Amulet and now Shadow of Dawn back to back for the first time, what can I say that hasn’t been said? I laughed, I cried, I mulled over the morals and conflicts with real consideration, and was left feeling so satisfied and excited for the eventual conclusion to this monumental story.
I can recall each character vividly, the world is alive and lush, I was THERE. I know where everything on your map is after one play through, the sense of time and seasons changing even I felt THERE for. Cassandra’s arc is exceptional, easily up there with The Boss as a strong female character (just character of course) for me. Rahdan, amazing arc, I wished he was MY dad!
Edric, and any returning cast from Dark Amulet was amazing to catch up with. Edric in particular from Dark Amulet to now felt authentic. He was still very much the good man he always was, fallible, but always strived to do the right thing. He might be my favorite character next to ones like Dart Feld, Zidane, or for a FE character Hector!
I sincerely hope he’s alive in the sequel, and that you enable him to make his mistake right and die with honor and glory and see his Eliya and Shorn one more time.
I even grew to love Sevran, the ass that he was. He came to his senses and left his crown to someone more worthy. Fantastic job even making me invested in the villains.
Perhaps you could answer for me? Were the angels being controlled or are they actually evil? It seemed to me from the story that it was the Sun Goddesses POWER, not the Sun Goddess herself who was tyrannical. Was your intention to portray the Pantheon as evil or uncaring at best, or is the Tyranny of Light all because of the person wielding the power and controlling the angels?
