Is it normal that Vagelis always get an S rank bow in chapter 2?
He just waited near the greens units and got a S rank bow.
It happenend in all version of the game I played I wonder if it’s a feature.
The S rank sword in the shop un chapter 3 is clearly intentional tho
Yes - the bow is intentional. All of the brown houses in this game have something important to say regarding special items. Please visit them.
Few more updates coming through based on feedback that came in overnight. I’ve updated the patch to v1.04 as some of these changes impact gameplay.
3-3’s enemies have been shuffled around so it is easier for the player to get a droppable Miasma tome for Bulan, who some players say is likely to run low on Flux by then.
More text and dialogue fixes
Maximum move is now capped at 10. This means that a promoted mount can use one pair, while a promoted unmounted unit can use two.
Shaman base con is 8 instead of 7, so they don’t lose AS from Flux.
Cleave Bow and Yabusame’s effectiveness pointers are updated so they are effective against both fliers and armors/horses, respectively.
Swapped rewards in 4-3x and 4-5, you will get a silver card in 4-3x (to honor the Silver Card Chief) and the boots in 4-5.
Cassius’s bases and growths are nerfed a bit.
Anwen’s bases are slightly buffed.
Promoted enemy bishops (and by extension, Anwen) have Live 2 Serve as a class skill, when previously no class skill loaded in.
2-3x’s stealables have moved around so it’s easier to get them, and the fog falcoknights no longer have rapiers (I’m sorry).
2-1x’s merchant now has a unique name and description, and also shouldn’t get one rounded by enemies. Best advice I can give is not to trust the green units to protect him very well.
I’ll continue updating this version of the patch as fixes and changes come in, but I suspect that updates will start to slow down now that the build is pretty stable.
I’ve seen you post asking questions like this a few times in discord and on the forum, about character measurements and ages.
I’m not going to entertain these types of questions because I am well aware of your intent.
This type of behavior is unsettling and makes me feel uncomfortable. I am asking you to stop.
The ages of the characters in the game have no bearing on how the game is played, and should not impact your ability to enjoy the story or the gameplay. These are fictional characters in a fantasy story.
If you have any questions related to the gameplay or run into any bugs, I’m happy to discuss.
Okay, sorry for bothering you with my last question, and I’ll let you know if I have a question regarding the gameplay, and sorry that it bothered you that much.
Congratulation for the relase. I start playing the hack first in hard mode. I found it way to difficult so I restarted in nomal mode. But i have to say that till now , I’m on chapter 1.8, it’s not so challenging. I would like something in between. Will the difficulty raise in the progress of the game? Is it possible to switch to hard mode somehow? Anyway the level design, the character and the story are really nice till now.
I designed the hack with iron man in mind - if you’re playing with resets on NM, you’re likely going to find it gets a bit easy since the level curve starts to flatten, as I assumed the player would be replacing units throughout the duration of the game.
There is no way currently to switch between difficulty modes.
i was looking at the supports and i noticed all of them are unlocked, even for characters i don’t have. is this normal, and what does this mean with the support cap?
I went back and forth on this during development, and ultimately where I landed was that the support viewer should be open for the player to take a look at if they want.
I spent over 6 months writing supports, and there are a lot that I doubt most players will ever see in-game, so I left it open for those who want to take a look - there is no requirement to unlock this like in vanilla.
I wouldn’t recommend looking too much into it until you’ve beaten the game, as there may be some conversations that spoil parts of the plot.
The support cap in game is the same as vanilla GBA, 5 supports.
Hi all - few more bug fixes in a new update patch here and in the first post.
Most notably are the bugs related to the formation option getting greyed out in the final two chapters, meaning you’re now able to select formations.
Additionally, the end event and the credits are fixed and working as intended. The turn count sequence is still a bit jank because of the chapter names, but you can see how many turns you’ve taken without issue.
