I can finally post my final team!!!
Portraits outdated cause this is from the patch you posted in, like, Juneish.
Renair

I was somewhat disappointed by Renair as a unit. Like she’s good, but for the midgame she fell behind, she kept up for hte early game, and was a really good combat unit lategame. Flying lords are a hell of a lategame drug.
I think her characterization is also very good. All of her scenes with her “mother” left me feeling gross and disgusted by her actions. She felt grounded and realistic in her ambitions.
Asher

This divine lightning shall pierce the skies or something. Solid healer guy, didn’t really get a chance to view his supports, but being my primary healer still left a good impression on me.
Crowe

Radu 1.5. Strong, somewhat slow archer. Took great advantage of the longbows, and managed to be my strongest chipper and most consistent anti-flier.

Lizaveta

Despite her piss poor magic, Lizaveta managed to be one of my best combat units, doubling with magic damage is really, really nice to have, and she didn’t do to bad as a secondary staffer either. I really liked her supports with Arcus and Bellona, with how they focus on her independence in the misogynistic and traditionalist standards of the noble house she was born to.
Arcus

He has really good combat, but only 5 move. He was still essential to my endgame clear. Outside of his Lizaveta and Jolyon supports, I found his story presence rather…I don’t know if dull is the right way to put it, but he felt almost static in a way that makes no sense given his writing.
Marin

This is one of my two favorite units in the hack. He made a really great first impression on me via the fact that his stats completely MOGGED my Cyrille’s stats. I fielded him throughout Musain, and he just kept growing larger. Silly little himbo guy.
Jolyon

Such a fun unit. He has, like, my favorite possible stat build for a mage to have with his lower speed but impressive magic and resistance. I found his comically high magic damage very fun. Really liked his Meliza and Arcus supports, and I especially enjoyed his story presence as the more reasonable voice in Rena’s retinue, whilst still fighting for his own and his people’s interests.
Severin

My other favorite unit. I liked his presence as Fleurre and Uther’s weirdo gremlin who followed them everywhere, his overwhelmingly negative attitude on damn near every event was fun. I didn’t get any of his supports, but his main story presence was great.
Seymour

Bonkers combat unit. I have not fully played Onduris yet, so I really cannot speak to his performance through playing Onduris, but the autolevelled Seymour you get from Musain comes ready to promote with a 50 use 1-2 range sword. I really cannot speak to his story presence either, as Arcus got more story presence post-split than Seymour did.
Sheila

Generically good lategame flier. Damn fun prf. I enjoyed the events leading to her joining Rena’s party in part 3.
Dismas

Dismas is cool. I like how throughout his story you can see how he eventually does want to change, coming to a more clean profession in his final appearance as an enemy in the game. He replaced Garath in my army very late in the game, and I don’t regret it. Just slap the S-rank axe on im and he’ll perform well.
Part 4 Spoiler #1

She was mainly a story field for me, which is something that I do not usually do when playing hackroms. She joined with very similar stats to my Marin at the time, but that didn’t bother me. I enjoyed how saunion-like her prf is.
Part 4 Spoiler #2

Similar to how Dismas replaced Garath, she replaced my Gabriel, her joining with duel S-ranks in Light and Dark really game in handy with using all of the light tomes that had been sitting in my convoy literally all game.
Kai

He came in swinging with duel S-ranks and very high tier weaponry. I do not regret picking him over Claudiya. I did not see any of his supports(If he even has any), but I enjoyed using him.
Rophon

Karel-like unit hackrom genre contributor. But also, the fact that he is the unit who can use the dragonblood only sword that Rena is given after part 3 is super cool, and even if he doesn’t have much dialogue due to his nature, it really helped to make him feel like he was attached to the plot and world.
Part 4 Spoiler #3

Getting to be able to use Sorcha after an entire game of chasing her around and her antagonism was AWESOME. Her prf was fun to watch go off every time. I will not speak on her story here because her characterization feels like it’s tied to the entirety of the themes of the plot, and I don’t trust myself to analyze them right now.
Probably the coolest hackrom Gotoh I've used

Where do I even begin. Joining up with Rena in the last map feels so in character, so much of a coward that he switches back to the winning side of the conflict against Fleurre/Mir’Katal. He also managed to feel unique despite being around for one map, since he joins with an anima rank, a trait not shared with Gabriel or Rozelle. His final moments also feel…really cathartic. His gambit failed, Rena still kills him for all of his acts and scheming, finally closing the tale.
Anyways good hack, I look forward to third and fourthack.
