It isn’t possible to kill Zeus in any legitimate way, so there is no reward. The Veid talk currently makes this more obvious, but older versions were less clear.

Huh. Really? Well, alright. That’s unusual. I… honestly thought he could be killed. Well, good thing I didn’t try too hard to do it then lmao.
Also, was wondering- how does Dullahan work, exactly? The part about how it resurrects the holder… I’m gonna guess that it’s not an unlimited use thing, as much as I might wish it was.
As long as Dullahan doesn’t run out of uses and is equipped, it revives Cromar every time he dies.
The only way to kill him was through the fishing minigame that was cut from ch6
As in he straight-up gets revived at full health?
Where is the secret shops?
On Chapter 8:
Thoughts so far:
Overall, I really like this. It’s not got anything outstanding to its name, but I don’t mean this in a bad way.
What I mean more like it’s just right- the gameplay’s not too easy, and not too difficult, but it manages to hit a good sweet spot of ‘difficult only if you don’t think things out.’
If there is one thing I’d like to nitpick, it’s the fatigue system- while managing it isn’t too big of an issue, I do think that the way it works is a bit unfair when it comes to staff users. (Where the fatigue ‘cost’ gets higher and higher the greater in power the staff is). This usually isn’t a problem, but…
Well, there’s one particular unit in the game that’s come to my attention as having the potential to be something, but just… doesn’t seem to click.
Deliah.
Deliah honestly seems like a really interesting unit to me, but she also has the misfortune of being probably the person suffering most from the systems in place.
During the prison arc, she’s a second healer- not as good as the other guy, but serviceable enough.
However, she’s also the biggest victim of the fatigue system- she’s absolutely crap as a healer, and as an attacker, she can’t really… how to put this…
Her fatigue accumulates quickly in her case- very quickly. Even moreso if you try to have her do duty as a healer. Which makes training her hard since Staff ranks seem to level up very, very slowly…
Which reminds me- either I’m mismanaging something here, or you give the player at one point a Hammer… and nobody who can actually seemingly use the damn thing when it shows up.
It’s a C-Rank weapon in a game where weapon rank experience seems to build slowly, and it would be useful in Chapter 7 (since you get it in Chapter 6 I believe)… but there’s nobody who can use it, to my knowledge.
Idk if this is an oversight or something, but everyone in the party’s axe rank is currently D-Rank or less.
Just my thoughts. If I’m playing the game wrong, feel free to tell me.
I hope we will have non-fatigue mode…
Awa has C axes, if nothing else.
Is she one of the people you get from 5x?
That actually reminds me of something else that was nagging at me too but I didn’t remember initially-
5x itself. Or more specifically, how it gives you a good deal of units that have things that you need/want… but you can’t take them all for plot reasons. (I’m sure this was intentional though, in which case, hats off to the dev team).
That having been said though, I do have some grievances all the same. Namely:
If you don’t take the thief from 5x, the one unit you have that’s capable of opening doors and locks without a key (as well as stealing) quite possibly does not get a break until Chapter 7- which I think is just downright brutal for the player. Like… you need her if you want to get all the sweet stuff from the chests (including valuable gems for revenue since god knows you need gold in this hack if you don’t want to be capturing shit all the time) and so for her to get possibly completely fatigued is… inconvenient, to say the least. (Granted, it didn’t happen to me, but it is kinda annoying having to juggle all that).
I also have a feeling that Chapter 7’s thief is there because you could get softlocked if you don’t have any way of capturing the knights for the door key into the throne/no way in general of opening the doors other than a thief.
I think a good way of alleviating this (if possible) is to make it where chapters like 5x count as chapters where all the other units you have are benched- that way they can all recover fatigue. (Because for whatever reason, they don’t).
The game often has capturable/stealable chest keys/door keys for non thieves to use- when valuables like gems aren’t also just placed on enemies, which is somewhat common too. I would disagree that you absolutely need Mira to open any of the chests in the first few chapters.
The interludes not clearing fatigue is an intentional part of the design.
Okay that is true. But I digress. Ultimately, it’s not that big of a deal in the long run. Although, uhhhh, I gotta ask.
About Enil’s personal skill- maybe it’s because I can’t count, or something, Idk, but I swear sometimes I have him move full move and he still won’t do the brave thingy.
Did you guys alter the terrain move cost for horses and whatnot on roads? Just wondering, because part of me wonders if that could be it…
So I assume this is a haha funny troll moment but I rather enjoy the useless 5 pcc on the mage tank. It doesn’t take away from them as a unit, its just there.
I don’t know, you could just get ungodly lucky like I did with my Zwieback and get speed 7 speed levels.
Heya! Still playing through the game, at Chapter 15. I’ve liked the story beats and how every now and then other side characters get a line or two in the plot.
Today, somewhere along the line my Cromar got killed and he revived, I think, two times in one chapter. A couple chapters later I check his supports and they’re gone! I assume this is related to that effect, but having it happen was kind of a bummer because I really wanted to up his supports with Loewe and Leina to see how they go.
I dunno if there’s anything that can be done about htis or if it’s intended, but I figured I’d let you know.
Hey, glad to hear you’re enjoying what you’re playing so far. Cromar is killed and unkilled under the hood with Dullahan, so his supports are likely being wiped as a result of supports being cleared on death by default. I didn’t actually consider Dullahan’s effect on this since supports were added fairly late, but this should be a simple enough fix (although I admit, the implications are funny enough that I almost want to keep it).
If you want to see the rest of the conversations, you can still view them in the Support Viewer under the Extras menu, where all of them are unlocked without needing to view them in-game. Thanks for the bug report!
Me being a new fire emblem fan, the features are daunting tbh. Since I haven’t played any fire emblem game before fe6. But will try this nonetheless!
I uh, don’t know how it never got noticed before but Vargas’ aqua brand has no spell animation.
he just lifts the sword like it’s supposed to cast something, battle ends with no damage being delt and then the damage is displayed if his target survived on the map.
has no one seriously used vargas from chapter 16 onwards with animations on?
that’s the only way I figure nobody had reported this sooner.
Edit: another minor thing I just noticed, the edged arrow can’t be used by Filione and Darby, I assume this is because of their skills, and Nahiza because and piercing 10-range unit would be busted, but Zwie can still use it so it seems odd since at first i noted only the non-mounted archers couldn’t use it.
Also emil’s charge doesn’t seem to be working, the forecast says 15 but the actual fight deals 7 what ever is happening there is also effecting the burn tome, they suddenly aren’t doing the damage they say they are supposed to even though I am certain they worked before chapter 16.
Good catch on these bugs: The Varga issue was due to it originally being a magic sword like Light Brand at 1 range, but it had to be changed due to issues that arose from this. The Filone and Darby bugs were due to the female class variants not being in the Edged Arrow class list, but yes, Nahiza is intentionally not able to use it. Burn and Charge’s issues both lie with some faulty SkillTester issues that affect certain weapon skills. I went ahead and fixed Charge with the new patch, but Burn’s fix will be on the next one.

Also, the FEE3 showcase for Bells of Byelen will be coming out in about a week. It focuses primarily on the development cycle, lessons from Call of the Armor, and decision making on what to include/exclude from the FE5 base, so it’s a good listen if you’re interested in any of that kind of stuff. I’ll post it here when it drops and add it to the OP.
