FE7 with Binding Blade Characters (+JPN Changes) Mod

I noticed they’re hasn’t been one of these lying around and the only that did this had it removed by the Arthur. So I decided to make one.

Just a small project. Simple Character Swap Mod for FE7 that replaces it’s characters with those from FE6.

This also includes Japanese Gameplay differences (3 Def/ 30 Avoid Thrones & Gates, 3x Weapon Effectiveness, many bosses with restored stats, no Blue Gem, slight change in inventory for a handful of enemies, and 2 doors that open every other turn in the Final Chapter).

All FE6 characters are exactly the same as they are in their original game, from class, bases, and growths to even whom they support with. Characters have been autoleveled when needed by their growths. Only 2 character bases that have been somewhat modified outside their growths are Karel and Juno.

Recruitment has changed for a few characters as well.

Sue or Dorothy recruits Saul
Cath recruits Bartre
Wade, Lot, Geese, or Larum recruits Echidna
Bartre can also recruit Karel
and Noah is the one who recruits Fir (Must be a Lv 5 Paladin)

Also, Hugh and Igrene are NOT a hardcoded couple.

This Mod also includes Hard mode from the beginning plus various other QoL patches.

Honestly, this mod is more of a challenge due to FE6 characters being worse in general than FE7 characters. Even the simple change of replacing Hector with Lilina has drastic gameplay changes. It’s no longer bulldoze with Hector but now protect Lilina because how much of a liability she is. In all, the gameplay feels more puzzling and complex and I enjoyed playing this more than the Vanilla Version tbh. Looking forward to ironmaning it. Anyways, here’s the patch.

I love the idea and bet it’s just as fun as it sounds! Will you be nerfing FE7 weapons to their FE6 counterparts tho? (omg that FE6 Flux animation lol).

I thought about it, but ultimately decided against it because well, not everyone is a fan of the hit rates.

It certainly would’ve made sword classes better, but I wouldn’t count them out. For how notoriously bad FE7 swordmasters are, because how broken Rutger is, even he makes them look good. I mean he was great in my playthrough.

Him, Dieck, and Clarine were an unstoppable trio. So yeah, it was fun using them in this context.
