[FE7] [Unreleased] Project Triblade - FE7 Rework

In the last two weeks, I’ve finally decided to pick up FEBuilder after years of putting it off. I’ve decided that my first project will be a (probably very scuffed) FE7 rework. I specifically say “rework” rather than “rebalance” because, while I do plan on improving the game’s balance, my primary goal is just making the game more fun (for me)

Currently, I’m on what I’m dubbing “Phase 1” of the project, which consists of smaller reworks to characters, classes, and items. Here’s a small sneak peek of a few things I’ve done:

Also, I’m open to suggestions if anyone has some ideas, though I’m mostly on the right track with the changes, I think. Just keep in mind that this is my first hack, and I’m at a very busy point in my life, so I’m likely to take it quite slow with this project!

Wallace is a good character, but a poor unit to play. Instead, lets Eagler has his slot.
Give a conversation between Wallace and Eagler on chapter 9 Lyn’s mode, telling that Wallace has rescued Eagler’s family so he can now serving Lyn
On chapter 16 Eliwood’s mode (or chapter 17 Hector’s mode), before the battle, the player will be given an information that Eagler had stayed back to ensure Lyn escaped, he might being imprision. Then give an event that Eagler will jump out and cut off an enemy in the same chapter.
Wallace would return in his place in Four-Fanged Offense with a higher stats so he could be barely playable, of course promoted off-screen

Why do all that when u can just give Armor Knights + 1 mov or buff Wallace stats.

Honestly, making Eagler recruitable isn’t a terrible idea, buuuuuuuut I don’t think we need another pre-promoted Cav

My current plan for Wallace is to just make him a pre-promote in Lyn Mode and raise his base Level in Eliwood/Hector Mode, probably give him some extra stats as well on top of that. Plus I’m buffing the base stats of the entire Armor Knight classline so

Patch Notes:

  • Replaced the entire enemy composition of Crazed Beast with a singular stat capped Batta

Do y’all think the Monk Class needs a buff, or would a buff to Light Magic be enough already?

Update: I have somehow broken Serra. She can no longer use her Staff command as it crashes the game instantly.

Can other characters use Staves fine or is it just her?

You probably overwritten some code for the Staff command try just Copy pasting from vanilla

Ok! Turns out it is in fact all staff users!

And uh, enemy staff users don’t seem to even be capable of trying to use the command, they just kinda sit around

I’m not even sure what I could have overwritten, I haven’t (intentionally) touched anything related to staves

I’m just gonna make a report thingy and post it here

I’m gonna mess around and see if I can figure it out. In the meantime, here’s this if somebody else wants to look into my mistakes

Oh yeah also the Archer from the Chapter 5 cutscene doesn’t die in the cutscene. That’s another thing I’m confused about.

They just sit there at 0 HP for some reason and then die as soon as they end another combat.

Aaaaaaand the Lightning animation also crashes the game for some reason.

What did I do to deserve any of this ;-; genuinely got jumpscared by this one
