[FE7] [COMPLETE] Fire Emblem: The Blazing Silver PME v1.0b

If it’s going to be shorter, will you increase the Exp Gain? FE7 (Without Lyn Mode as thats just a tutorial) only has around 21-23 base chapters discounting Gaidens, and due to low enemy levels for most of the game, you don’t get much Exp, so I’d consider watching out for that. You’d also need to figure out to put all of the playables into just 7 Chapters, unless your plan is to either make some Route Exclusive or forced to cut some characters.

I think I will make some Units Route exklusive but mainly I think I am going to distribute big piles of Units in chapters focused in recruitment. You get to choose a few Units Out of a very big pile of them. I Hope that Something Like that will Cover a Lot of the units while creating meaningful choices for the player in choosing who they pick and therefore how they approach the map. You will also obtain units for free and as rewards for playing maps well, of course.

I hope this system will go well.

Btw. I am going to include a “Promo item and stat booster shop” in the end of Aireth mode. Essentially allowing you to buy either a stat booster of promo item for 5000 a pop. (Boots only boost MOV by 1 to be less OP, though.)
Although I will be honest. Thorne mode will be probably developed faster than Aireth mode. Like I will more focus on it being a “Highlight reel” than actual new maps.
I want to be done with this project sooner than later.

So here I start with my roadmap:

Thorne 0: First RECRUIT map. Allows you to recruit your starting squad. I think I will make everyone but Amelia a choice, allowing the player to choose 4 units that take the spot of Narcian, Tulli, Shelle and Serket.
Thorne 1: Ch. 12 Birds of a feather. Similar to Vanilla as it is a pretty neat map. Will have Anthea join alongside Marcus? and Xillian.
Thorne 2: Version of Ch. 15, probably reworked but it has Anthea rejoin join alongside a whole batch of old classics from Aireth mode.
Thorne 3: A take on the Merlinus join map. Something something it will allow you to get the fancy boat to dread isle.
A second RECRUITMENT MAP.
Thorne 4: A map based on Dread Isle, the fog map of this campaign
Thorne 5: A map based on Fire Emblem Engage where you have to run away after the group of your have been lured into a trap.
Thorne 6: Dragon’s Gate very similar to the main game as that is one of the best maps of the game.
Thorne 7: Version of the Final Map edited to fit this shorter campaign

I know i have not gone into full detail but this is like my rough roadmap. Hopefulyl pretty neat.
Essentially many of these maps will be very similar to their original counterparts. A compromise between my desire to finish this quickly and still making it somewhat complete.

And then Anthea mode is just a two map experiemnet where you spend one map preparing for battle before dawn and then play that. ALlowing you to bring your buffs from Aireth mode for potential powerhouses at scrub level prices.

But don’t expect many supports of stuff like that. I will lower that mechanic greatly. Only having supports for units you are forced to obtain. But I will support growth incredibly quickly only having to spend one turn next to each other to unlock the convo.

stupid question what is the vanilla patch? i am confused

@Shamiyama It’s a patch with the vanilla characters and only the mechanical changes like new classes, without new story dialogue and the like. It’s intended for anyone who wants to make their own PME based on this hack, being easier to start with.

By the way. I now completed the AIRETH MODE. It actually turned out to be a pretty tough map I made. With many high level threats and your Athos of this mode, Amelia, facing two enemies that have weapons that are effective against armor. And I added a manakete that can one shot every unit but in return retreats to use an elixir if damaged and if you attack him he doesn’t counterattack.
I also placed the bandits closer to the village to make it a hard grab.
In my playtest run I promoted my Aurelia to Sage and just had her use her neat stats to two shot Shin while her resistence is high enough that his Light Brand does 0 damage. WOuld have been perfect wouldn’t there be his priest jagen who I gave a 2-3 tome and in other words that made him a huge threat because he could use the terrain to hide behind rivers while you cannot hurt him. I did nerf his stats though, especially nerfing his luck as I gave him an about 15 percent chance to strike critical hits due to light magic being more critical orientateted. I hope to decrease that.

Anyhow. will soon release that vid and then the first half of the game is done.

Here is the idea for me first 12 character choice roster thing. (The playable roster will be rather small due to the short lenght of the campaign and these choice things so I allow myself to include Aireth mode characters here.)
I will have them all start the game at Lv. 5. I also plan to buff the “You played Aireth mode so Lyn’s legion is stronger units.” the other scrubs that if no Aireth mode start at below Lv.5 are:
START AT LV.1: Aurelia
START AT LV.3: Edna, Serket
I suppose they are fine enough. Maybe I can have Edna with her growth focus be na Est and Aurelia and Serket are a recruit pair you find in that skill book village in ch. 12

YOUR FORCED STARTING PARTY: Thorne, Yourself
THE FORCED STARTING PARTY LIKE TRAVELING WITH ANTHEA: Anthea, Amelia

YOUR CHOICES:
Lavari (Buccaneer/Ace)
Narcian (Wyvern/Flight/Lance)
Tulli (Manakete/Starts with a limited use dragonstone and an unlimited use weak dragonstone weapon.)
Marcus (Sword Cav)
Finn (Lance Cav)
Aran (Archer)
Dirk (Fighter)
Silvia (Thief)
Xilan (Wizard)
Rolf (Priest)
Armstrong (Bulwark)
Shelle (Soilder)

I hope that by being able to choose 4 of them you can express yourself quite freely. Although you can theoretically just pick two horses and two fliers. It is a choice where you can choose who you want and have to deal with the consequences.

I made a small animation for the credits of Aireth mode as the CG’s that show in it depict FE7’s cast. (The last Lyn stares out into the plains CG remains because… I guess it can fly.)
But this while very simple hopefully does depict like, the land healing, even if looking a bit jank.

is fine no worries hahaha. but i am very happy with her so far :>

This is the end of Aireth Mode. Shin needs to be taken down. Can you help Aireth and her friends do the deed? You won’t just fight Shin, but his closest friends, who may remind you of usual fire emblem characters such as the two cavs or the old experienced veteran. Can you fight the odds and triumph, despite fighting people who are at your level?

Btw I find it really funny how the jagen Theodore is the biggest threat on the map, other than the OP manakete, really big FE vibes there ngl. What is more Fire Emblem than an OP jagen being the biggest threat.
But I did try to make this map an exciting gauntlet. Not all my maps will be this focused on being tough, but I wanted to make you EARN the right to finish Aireth mode. And that the Athos of this map isn’t super OP.

Aireth mode is done and I just discovered goofy ah tech.
Basically, YOU, Aurelia, Rozaliya, Amelia, Artemis and Abiba can just die like frfrfr.
On the one hand they keep their Aireth mode items but on the other they don’t get revived.
Which means that I will add in REPLACEMENT CHARACTERS. Hooray.
And like, you can do goofy ah thracia 776 fun.
So six new questions opened:
Yourself replacement: Maybe it’s another “Yourself.” but instead of “It’s You” it says. “It’s You. Stop pushing yourself” and you are exactly the same but at the start of your journey and with even less CON.
Aurelia replacement: Fionn. Maybe as a “Nino” putting him in the place of the regular Lv.1 mage scrub may fit.
Rozaliya replacement: Maybe Nova? Considering Rozaliya as a guy replacement will be a red unit you can convince I can see both Nova and Rozaliya furfill that role.
Amelia replacement: Maybe Olympus, both are Baron’s who saved the world. That other playable baron who is the Vaida replacement could be the epic Athos.
Abiba replacement: Eustace. As another ex-member of the Black Fang he does make a good fit to replace Abiba if you killed her. Both can fill the role of giving Miku a heads up with intel from the black fang. (But major nerf will come.)
Artemis replacement: Maybe a new character who used to be a sniper working for Shin, but who went to fight the fake witch. Furfilling the role of a prepromote sniper while being someone I can imagine joining Aireth. Maybe only having fought alongside Shin because he was loyal to land.
In other words, unlucky bastards who you can only obtain if the player sucks at the game. I hope you guys don’t mind. I probably am unable to include the entire playable cast due to the short lenght of the game, but I hope this does fill the “Void” left by them.

By the way out of the 12 choices, which choices should I take for the “Dummy playthrough?”.

I can choose 4 out of these:

Lavari (Buccaneer/Ace)
Narcian (Wyvern/Flight/Lance)
Tulli (Manakete)
Marcus (Sword Cav)
Finn (Lance Cav)
Aran (Archer)
Dirk (Fighter)
Silvia (Thief)
Xilan (Wizard)
Rolf (Priest)
Armstrong (Bulwark)
Shelle (Soilder)

So, just reply with who you want to choose and then I decide based on who is popular. Or something like that.
And considering the game should be designed around the concept of all choices being ok, I want to make sure that is true.
So happy suggestions given, I will try to tally the results to be fair. (If you like only say 1 unit you want 100% thier odds are more likely as if you suggest 4 units. I try to make it work. But no promises.)
I just want to allow this “Dummy playthrough” to be influenced since you will be the ones watching this dummy playthrough and it’s a choice that does shape the early game quite a bit.

You go, girl! :partying_face::sparkling_heart:

In terms of picks:

  1. Lavari, easy. Having a Raven replacement in general is pretty damn good, and a Berserker Raven at that?! :weary: Goddess right there :two_hearts:
  2. Narcian, perhaps? Flying as an attribute alone in the early chapters of FE7, where the devs didn’t expect a flier so early until Florina, is a massive benefit. However, I don’t know how well lances would hold up as a viable weapon type for combat against the sea of enemy axes. I suppose we’ll have to see. :upside_down_face:
  3. Tulli maybe? An early-game Manakete would be amazing since she could tank a shitton of enemies and deal great chips later on, but I don’t know how much she gets from her stones, so we’ll have to see :upside_down_face:
  4. Marcus? Like, I know Thorne already has swords, but hey, two swordies in the FE7 earlygame is not a bad thing. Plus, you’d get to train your very own Marcus Fire Emblem, and is that not the true appeal of Fire Emblem: The Blazing Sword for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance handheld video game system? :333
