[FE7] [COMPLETE] Fire Emblem: The Blazing Silver PME v1.0b

This hack uses that mug, and it’s personally the bane of my existence aesthetics-wise because it showcases pretty much the same like 30 mugs that already get used over and over and over again, and it’s soul-draining at worst.

Summary

[OpenFarLeft][LoadFace][0x116][OpenLeft][LoadFace][0x14F][OpenMidRight][LoadFace][0x1A9][OpenMidRight]Thank you kind strangers
for saving our little village.[A]
Wait…[A]
Are you Marquess Madoka?[A][OpenLeft]Yes I am.[A]
I am sorry I failed to
ensure everyone’s safety.[A]
Those nearby towns, you
must have had friends there…[A][OpenMidRight]This is the job of that new
Marquess Shin, it isn’t yours.[A]
He is a sloppy Marquess,
between you and me.[A]
Even I, just a humble mayor,
would be better at ruling this place.[A]
[OpenLeft]Which is why I am doing this.[A]
The girl next to me is actually
the daughter of Marquess Thomas.[A]
We travel to reunite the two of
them and hopefully enact better rule.[A][OpenMidRight]Sounds like something Shin would hate.[A]
You saved our village, if we can help
you in any way, we will do that![A][OpenLeft]We are facing overwhelming numbers.[A]
Shin is collecting a huge army.[A]
We cannot face them all at once.[A]
We don’t want to face them if we can.[A][OpenMidRight]I could report a local plaque,
freezing movement.[A]
[OpenLeft]Yes, report a plaque type witch.[A]
A plaque cast by a witch targeting
the castle.[A]
Shin would have to move his
units away to deal with it.[A]
And it did happen for real
often enough that it is believable.[A]
And lastly, Aireth may be called
a traitor.[A]
Please make sure to remind
everyone of the ability to stay neutral.[A][OpenMidRight]Of course.[A]
I will get to it.[A]

By the way here is my idea for the ending of chapter 4. Basically having Madoka talk to a local mayor and encouraging him to report a fake plaque controlled by a fake witch to essentially force Shin to act by pretending a third party entered the conflict.
I want to keep with the theme and make it a fantasy world, so of course fantasy plots could exist.
And that should be a reason why Shin’s army isn’t full sized, as a small part of his elite are send on this “fake fantasy adventure” and I believe Madoka would enact such a harmless scheme to avoid fighting inetead of taking them out.
But I may be a bit too insane lol.

Hey guys, I finished the next chapter in this epic saga.
And yes, I did blunder a bit. But since this is a game that is supposed to be ironman friendly, people dying is part of that.

I suppose now the “Checklist” grows short. Two maps, one preultimate where you will obtain a striker and then the final map where you have an epic showdown against the toughest Shin has to offer. The last map will probably be akin to vanilla chapter 10. I know it is a rather simple design but I think it does work. And I will give the final shops the ability to buy Promotion items, and I plan to promote Amelia because I invested deeply into this best girl and I want to carry her into Anthea mode.
The second to last map is a real, “Not fully sure yet” map.
In case any of you have any ideas for the big standoff against Bonnie before reaching Shin tell me I guess.
Maybe I will just make the second to last map a “no gimmick just reach and seize the castle” map. Or I stick with vanilla in making it a Fog of War map similar to Vanilla.

I’ve just picked up where I left off my run (chapter 20)
Does anyone knows where the member card is?
For this chapter’s secret shop

@Jonah_07 It’s on an enemy thief that appears as a reinforcement.

What turn it appears depends on the mode and I didn’t edit his data so it should be the same as vanilla.

Here’s the chapter link info on the wiki to help! HERE.

To be fair, he’s obscured by Fog of War, so it’s not like you could have known other than by gaining enough vision to see him on turn 1, sorry about that.

Hmm… Maybe I can make it so that you always see the first turn so you can prepare fair and square.

Summary

[OpenMidLeft][LoadFace][0x194][OpenMidRight][LoadFace][0x111][OpenMidRight]I am sorry to report that
Bonnie has fallen.[A]
Aireth is on her way.[A][OpenMidLeft]…[A][OpenMidRight]I know you can do this, Shin.[A][OpenMidLeft]Thank you, Theodore.[A][OpenRight][LoadFace][0x113][OpenFarRight][LoadFace][0x114][OpenMidLeft][MoveFarLeft][OpenMidRight][MoveLeft][OpenRight]Remember, despite what
this witch may have done…[A]
We all are still by your side![A]
We won’t die to some witch,
we are all ready to die for you.[A]
The world may think you are
insane, but we know it’s the truth.[A][OpenFarRight]The finish line is walking to
us, all we have to do is cross it.[A][OpenFarLeft]Simon…[A]
Nina…[A][OpenRight]You haven’t burned a
few bridges… yet…[A][OpenFarLeft]Thank you all.[A]
If I ever have seemed like
I take you for granted…[A]
It is because I had…[A]
If any of you want to
side with this Aireth…[A]
I don’t think I can blame you…[A]
I have been gifted with a few
wonderful allies on the way…[A]
You don’t deserve to die fighting
for this old fool of a Marquess.[A][OpenLeft]But my lord.[A]
We all trust in you.[A]
We all understand the stress
all of this has you go through.[A][OpenFarRight]Remember what we said
that one time in the hotspring?[A][OpenRight]You are destined to be a hero,
and it is our desire for you to be one.[A]
That day, we knew some of us would
not make it to see it come true.[A]
Unfortunately… some failed to
see it come true already…[A]
But, this promise we made,
we all would make it again in a heartbeat.[A][OpenFarLeft]Heh… I still remember it…[A][OpenFarRight]Of course you do.[A]
Now, rest well, for we
have a great fight ahead.[A][OpenFarLeft]Oh, but please stay.[A]
For if this may be the last
time we be able to.[A][OpenRight]Okay![A]
I will fetch the best wine
for our best little legion![A]

I wrote a small scene for the end of chapter 5 having Shin, Theodore, Simon and Nina. This being the scene that shows Shin’s point of doubt before his friends comfort him. Tell him everything will be alright. That Shin, despite being a fool, has the heart of a hero. He could have been the hero, if it is wasn’t for Madoka, who makes sure that Aireth is ready to take her place and knows how to do it best. If it wasn’t for Thomas not having done a better job keeping bandits out. If it wasn’t for You, the one who caused Aireth to travel and meet Barret and Riv. If it wasn’t for his vision, who got him to see a problem he wasn’t meant to solve.

But he is sorta a jerk, and incompetent.

Wow. I really made Chapter 5 at a rapid pace. This chapter is basically like the lyn mode counterpart, just a bit harder with the enemies being more focused on wyverns and horsed units.
Yeah. Not every chapter is a giant change.

Hooray! I still have to write the character die and say goodbye to aireth scenes. And also endings. (Although I suppose I don’t NEED them.)

By the way, I am planning on having legendary weapons be loot you obtain during the campaign, like FE11 style you just get these sometimes. I am also thinking to make half the game gaiden chapters, having a structure where you can play chapters or don’t. The game expects you do every gaiden, but you can avoid them at will. Anthea/Thorne both have huge armies, they can afford to let tasks be done by others, but in return you miss out on loot/characters. Essentially I create a super hard mode where you can play a FE game but you only have a third of it if you play Anthea mode hard only main chapters.

I will tell the player: “DO USUALLY DO GAIDEN CHAPTERS, NOT DOING ACTUALLY SABOTAGES YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING THIS GAME. DO THIS TO CHALLENGE YOURSELF/YOU DISLIKE A MAP SO MUCH IT IS WORTH IT”

I also think I will finalize the roster you get for your “start of Thorne/Anthea mode” choice where you essentially choose your starting squad. I hope that choosing your starting squad adds some meaningful replayability. Or at least, the ability to express yourself with taking a group of scrubs that are truly yours more than usual.

Don’t worry, I made it so that assassins can still steal items!

I’m still on the old version
She can’t pick up items in the sand with a 100% chance anymore
Guess I’ll leave her as a thief

Hope you don’t mind this but i wrote an additional ending that will play after Shin big final prep talk with his friends at the end of Chapter 5. This scene serves as an introduction to one of our secondary villains in the story. Elibe own devil Marquess Dreyfus of Zem. Dreyfus pays a visit to the mayor (the one who falsely reported a fake Plague in the previous chapter).

Mayor: Uhhh secretary. If you’re still here? Would you mind helping me out with some of this paper work please?
???: Oh Mr mayor. I’m afraid that your secretary is currently…
(Dreyfus Enters)
Dreyfus: Occupied at the moment.
Mayor: Marquess Zem. I… wasn’t expecting you to arrive at my town of all times.
Dreyfus: So no plague huh?
Mayor: … Yes.
Dreyfus: You know. If this sort of false information were to say leak its way to the court and in to someone like Marquess Shin. I can’t imagine that he would be hardly pleased with your deception. That’s not going to look good for you and your town.
Mayor: Please marquess. You wouldn’t dare.
Dreyfus: Oh quit pissing yourself. I wouldn’t want Lord Shin to get involved in your mess either.
Mayor: Thank you for understanding why i have to do marquess.
Dreyfus: While i may be helpless against the amount of bandit attacks lately. I can offer you the next step of human evolution against these difficult times.
Mayor: Thank you for your offer marquess. But I’m afraid it will not… be… necessary…
Dreyfus: I Insist.
Mayor: …

Dreyfus: Has the mayor been secured yet?
Hooded Figure: Yes my lord. We give him a drug to knock him out. Will be back at Zem by the time he does wake up.
Dreyfus: Excellent job. And the villagers?
Hooded Figure: None had saw us my lord.
Dreyfus: Good. Has our scouts returned yet?
Hooded Figure: We’re still waiting for them. Shall we depart without them?
Dreyfus: No. I will have that corpse in my possession. She will become part of Zem property.
(Dreyfus’s Soldier enters)
Dreyfus’s Soldier: …Sir.
Dreyfus: Just on time. Have you recovered her body?
Dreyfus’s Soldier: …Yes.
Dreyfus: Will then show it to me.
(Dreyfus’s Soldier show Dreyfus the dead body of Bonnie.)
Bonnie: ……
Dreyfus: Ahhh yes. Don’t worry Bonnie. Even in death, you find a new purpose under my care. Secure her with the mayor.
Dreyfus’s Soldier: …Yes…Sir.
(Dreyfus’s Soldier leaves with Bonnie’s corpse.)
Dreyfus: I’m placing you in charge in supervising our new patients on our way back to Zem. Those two will make a fine addition to my experiments. Should anything happen to them however. You will take their place instead.
Hooded Figure: Have no worries my lord. We will not run into any inconvenience on our way back.
Dreyfus: You better. I hate being lied to by my own men you know. We’re are done here. We move out right now.
Hooded Figure: At once my lord.

By the way. I am currently thinking about further making this project a shorter one. Developing a game is pretty hard stuff and I am not sure I have the energy to do the full project in me. I am currently thinking about maybe making Aireth mode like the one full campaign of this while Anthea and Thorne mode both more so serve as shorter experiences.
Maybe Anthea mode being a mini campaign where you need to use money to prepare for battle before dawn and then beat a modified version of the map, you of course being able to buy your Aireth mode characters at a better price as they got stronger while their price remained static.
And then Thorne mode could also be something…
Short version, game development is hard, and I have fully accepted making “Elysium Ablaze” a smaller title that while having a full on Aireth campaign, has short content for Thorne and Anthea mode.
I know this is a big dissapointment, but I still hope that I can make “Elysium Ablaze” a fine game with a simple retelling of Lyn mode and two other neat small activities.
I may also make for Thorne a “Best of-” type of project where I tell the part of the story that needs to be told the most.

I mean there is one fire emblem project I definetely wanna make, being a birthday gift to celebrate the FE experience me and my mom share, but I doubt I can make Thorne mode THAT. I will probably make it a small standalone game.

Don’t worry, I do think I am going to include a “Super hard mode” via also release an .ups file where all units use regular enemy stats. (Still changed a bit by personal boon/bane) but other than that, no.

I think I want to make Thorne a Black Fang focused mode. Maybe a short campaign with a few maps that are sorta meant to be a “Let’s destroy the Black Fang” story. Probably vaguely designed around the first half of FE7 but with the first trip to dread isle being the “final one”.
Like it will be the second half of the main game. But only having it designed for Thorne mode reduces design effort.
(This will mean the game has 15 maps: 7 Aireth, 7 Thorne and 1 Anthea.)

Or maybe not, I am rambling too much.
