Just a little patch to allow mode selection from the get go. I couldn’t find a patch that did just that, so I decided to make my own by following @Doesnt 's instructions - which I found on this other post.
Anyway, this was more of an excuse for me to try and dip my toes on messing with the game’s code than anything else. Have fun.
