I have no idea how to properly open a topic of this magnitude, so let’s get right into them meat of things: a FE6 PME that will be made by yours truly! This PME is based on the most up to date fan translation by Gringe and already has several QoL patches implemented, such as Anti-Huffman by Hextator/7743, Battle Stats w/Anims Off by Phanfan/Tequila, Working HP Bars w/Warnings by Circles/Vesly/Retina and Droppable Items by Tequila.

Okay okay so in actuality I want this to be more laid back: I’ve been lurking on the PME topics of way back past and, being very honest, I really like how it was much more relaxed with more emphasis on fun and messing around, rather than sweaty hardcore customization of units. Plus creating this PME will also help me give direct experience with FEBuilder so that, just maybe, I actually cook up something in the future. Let’s see how things turn out.
Now, even with what was said before, here’s some small guides to help out:
Growths similar to vanilla units and you can reserve 1 slot if you REALLY need it.
+3 / -3 Boons / Banes. 1 Boon/Bane, 2 Boons/Banes, or no Bane but also no Boon.
Custom Weapons Allowed but do read the tabs below. Custom Classes too but remember that FE6 is limited: I can probably only put in more female vanilla classes, recognizable like Halberdiers, and unpromoted Light magic. No Str/Mag split, although I could technically put in hybrids just beware of FE6 bugs and general weirdness.
Gameplay Changes
-Female classes same base stats as males with -2 HP +1 Skl +2 Spd -1 Con.
-Mounted female classes same aid value as males: 25-CON = rescue value.
-Staff users base experience when healing buffed from 10 to 15.
-Snipers gain the same +30 Crit as Swordmasters/Berserkers.
-The generic enemy-only Soldier are now renamed to ‘Grunt’.
-Weapon Triangle’s Hit buffed from +10/-10 to +15/-15 . Damage still +1/-1.
-Magic Swords now deal regular damage at range and always target Resistance.
-Every unit that A support with Keir (Roy) can have a paired ending with him.
-All supports rate are now about twice as fast as vanilla.
-WIP
-Thanks to Weapon Lock Ex by 7743, I can implement personal weapons for other units!
-Be sure to tell if your weapon is PRF or the rank for others to equip. Also its value!
-18 Safe Limit because that’s the amount of unused icons. Any more and the internal icon list needs to be extended, but apparently this is not safe in FE6, the icons after 18 can glitch out.
-No Custom Magic Animations. Also apparently not safe, freezes even with fixes.
-No Infinite Durability. Max 60 Uses (includes Eckesachs, smiley face).
-Rapier = 40 Uses | Bind-Blade/Legendary = 30 Uses | S-Staff = 5 Uses.
-FE6’s WExp is universal: buffed from 1 to 2, both weapons and staves.
Feel free to copy and paste a template from other PMEs.
What’s needed is Slot, Name, Gender, Affinity, Class, Portrait, Description, Boon/Bane, Growths (Player/Trial Maps only), Inventory, Death Quote and the optional Misc.
For bosses they’ll also need their Battle Quote of course.
Growth Rates again similar to the same from the units in FE6, but they can be higher.
And finally no Str/Mag split on the growths.
@SirNickJames You can probably replace some copied vanilla classes if you want to have extra class room, though iirc it’s just the female armor/general and wyvern classes in FE6.
Fell free to also post the female mercenary animations, since there’s none in FE6 vanilla.
As well as new animations for the female hero class if you want, map sprites too.
