[FE5] [Complete] Fire Emblem: New Theory of Thracia 776

I want to know if i want to recruit Homer I need to either have Asbel killed or capture? Also what is the benefit of getting Jeanne over Safy?

killed, and jeanne has a lady sword and a cleric ring which is super valuable

Asbel must be killed or unrecruited in the first place. Jeanne’s got a mount at base in addition to a great starting inventory and great HP growth

I think that if possible, Kempf should have Thorhammer access with paragon and S thunder. He has Bragi Sword access so I think the implication is that he has minor Freege blood, and yet he still cannot use their weapon with this, unlike units like Arthur

My hesitation is evident in my handling of him. Although I assumed that he had holy blood because of his claim to have royal lineage and his silver hair, I did not feel that he was capable enough to handle the sacred weapon and only gave him access to the Bragi Sword. The same goes for Amalda. But as you point out, they seem inconsistent, so they should be given access to the sacred weapon as well.

Summary

In chapter 22, does Olwen not have a death quote? I might be playing on an old version.

Also, what’s up with the random fort here?

Random fort

It’s a secret shop but it’s only accessible with Anna since the member card is given to you in chapter 23

Thank you for reporting. This is an unintentional omission that happened when separating enemy and ally quote definitions. I will fix it in the next update.

Updated.

Fix:

  • Proofreading of English dialogue in Chapters 8 and 8x (by Plague).
  • Corrected some of the dialogue in Chapter 11x.
  • Fixed an issue where the Silesian soldiers in Chapter 14x etc., and Vier in the Final Chapter were treated as men.
  • Fixed an issue in Chapter 22 where if Mareeta talked to Saias after Cohen was captured, Saias would not join (even if other conditions were met).
  • Fixed an issue in Chapter 22 where the death quote did not pop up when defeating the enemy Olwen.
  • Fixed the Final Chapter Enemy Elf’s personal skill “Magus” which would not work in certain cases, such as Res calculation.
  • Fixed an incorrect color Sieben (Ortov)'s portrait in the Final Chapter.
  • Fixed some issues that only occur in Japanese.

Change:

  • The Steel Sword that Machyua had in Chapter 4 has been changed to a Lancereaver, and Machyua’s initial sword level has been increased slightly (+20).
  • Added the mechanism to be able to add a second personal skill, and moved Pursuit Critical, Safeguard, and Return to the 2nd slot.
  • Added the 2nd personal skill Pursuit Critical to Machyua, Patti, and Olwen.
  • Added the 2nd personal skill Pursuit Critical+ to Felgus.
  • Added the personal skill “Heavy Attack” to Halvan, which adds half the weight of the weapon to his Atk when he is unable to pursue (rounding off a fraction).
  • Added the personal skill “Wind Blessing” to Asbel, which adds (distance - 1)*3 to Avoid when fighting at range 2 or more.
  • Added the personal skill “Solitariness” to Mareeta, increasing her Atk by 2 when she is not receiving support effects.
  • Added the personal skill “Linkage” and changed the unique skills of Cain, Alva, and Robert to this one. Holders of this skill will add 1/10 of the support effect value to their Atk when receiving support.
  • Added the personal skill “Locktouch” to Parn, allowing him to open doors and chests, and lower drawbridges without using keys.
  • Added the personal skill “Philanderer” to Homer, he always has his Atk increased by 2, but does not attack female units.
  • Added the personal skill “Infinite” to Linoan, which will not decrease the durability of her weapons when she attacks. This skill does not work on staves or tools.
  • Added the personal skill “City Fighter” to Machyua, giving her 10 Avo and 1 Mov when on terrain with an Avo effect of 0.
  • Added the personal skill “Gallop” to Delmud, increasing his movement by 2 if the terrain he is on before moving is a road or plain.
  • Added the 2nd personal skill “Crest of Flames” to Saias, doubling the ability bonuses added when he equips the Wargod’s Tome. The value when equipped by Saias is the same as before, and when equipped by others it is half that value, so it is actually a nerf to the Wargod’s Tome.
  • Some of these new skills have also been added to the enemies in the Final Chapter.
  • Changed to allow Kempf and Amalda to use Thor Hammer with the combination of Elite skill and weapon level S.
  • Changed Naga to have infinite durability.
  • Changed Unlock to be sellable and discardable.
  • Changed the terrain effect (Avo) of chests (outdoor) to 5.
  • Changed the terrain effect (Avo) for sand, cliffs and bridges to -5.
  • Changed the personal skill “Covert” to no longer double when when the terrain effect (Avo) is negative.
  • Added “Mag up” to the cond list in the Guide.

As I mentioned before, this will probably be my last update for this year as I am busy towards the end of the year (unless there is a critical problem). If you have been saying that you haven’t had a chance to play because of the frequent updates, please try to play during the holiday season. Enjoy!

I’m curious about this hack since I recently beat fe 5 compared to it how difficult is this version of it?

the hack is super big and does many many changes, I could type a big paragraph and wouldn’t be enough, however the hack has a built in guide and also yeah, it’s much difficult compared to vanilla

maybe I’m biased but I think Marty should have his personal skill from Super Thracia. Because there is no point on using him at all without having to use scrolls on him and Hicks outclass him as a berserker due to the boost to his spd growth when he promotes to that class and generally having better growths than him (Marty does not have that boost). Yeah his personal skill at the moment is decent but without the brave axe (ironic imo) he’s going to be hard to train and even with it, not worth it. Imo it will make him a more interesting unit to use with this skill, maybe not similar to ST, like, it can be only doing x2 with normal weapons and x4 with brave ones but that’s my take on him :V (I really enjoy the hack btw)

Normal mode has been designed with the intention of being easier than vanilla (I don’t know how players who beat this felt, it is my intent). For those who want a more difficult challenge, Hard and Maniac modes are also available. These difficulty settings do not change the ability values of the enemies, but they do mainly change how susceptible units are to fatigue, requiring players to move their units with more thought. However, in casual mode, even Hard can be easier than vanilla I guess.

I have to say that comparing Marty and Hicks in terms of combat ability is a fallacy. Marty’s role here is a thief with a huge build, and he should be comparing with Lifis, Parn, and other thieves.

Comparison with other thieves

Compared to the instant convenience of Daisy and Gomez, Marty is a bit inconvenient, but considering that a speed ring and the scrolls that increase speed are available early on, and he can gain 6 speed with his promotion to Warrior or 7 with Berserker, I think he is positioned to be easier to use as a thief than Lifis. It all depends on how much you are willing to invest in him. If you give him love, he will reciprocate. In that sense, he is in a similar position to Daisy, requiring two Master Proofs and a little training. Even if the players who give love to Daisy don’t feel like giving love to Marty, that’s a different matter.

The positioning of each thief

The thieves all have different advantages and disadvantages, and players can decide which they prefer and which they will use.

Lifis: The most balanced thief, but can also be considered the half-baked.
Marty: His build is quickly maxed out. The only problem is how to gain speed.
Lara: Dancer is her main focus, thief is secondary.
Patti: Specializes in combat ability, only a build that thieves want doesn’t grow very much.
Daisy: All abilities are low level, but she is the only thief who can ride a horse. She has the potential to steal items of 25 weight or more.
Gomez: The most capable thief when he joins. He can steal Dire Thunder without any training. However, his growth rate is low and will be insufficient later on.
Parn: Positioned between Lifis and Patti.
Shannam: No one would think of using him as a thief.

And still his growth is 3% and with Od and Ced’s scrolls he can have 33 which still doesn’t make any difference because you will neither have to manipulate his level ups so this make him difficult to steal items. Make him able to either steal and have combat skills will make him a more versatile unit imo :person_shrugging:

you can make him a berserker and give him the +9 speed he can get from rings, the rest is just getting lucky which makes sense on a joke unit

Secret unit bug?

is this caused by his prf skill or that thief is really a female unit?

Thanks for the report. This is an error due to an oversight. I checked beforehand to see if a female was being treated as a male, but did not anticipate that a male unit might have a female flag (sex is set on a per-unit basis and does not have any relationship to class, so it is possible that some units may have a different sex than appearances suggest, but until now this has not been apparent because only a Lady Sword has referenced sex). I will fix it in the next version. And if you find other similar units, please let me know again.

For the record, Homer judges only by biological sex in this skill, and does not consider gender identity, age, or little boys with cute looks like Asbel at all (regardless of how he treats them in the events of Chapter 14). This is also true for a Lady Sword.
