will there be a version of the engage quotes in English? i don’t expect it because it seems like that would take a lot of effort. The Engage mechanic looks really good in the clip!
The JP Voicelines are shorter and easier to compress to the amount needed. Unless there’s alot of leftover space in the end, likely JP only, but Explosionwolf will have to decide that

and this already seems like a big project, so could engage lines be for important characters like alear and the nobles?
I already spoke with Explosionwolf about these voicelines greatly. If there is enough romspace leftover, the voicelines, when reduced to 8000khz, Tempo Increased partially, dead space cut out, and with DPCM Compression maxed out, get to around 5kb or less each. The quality was still acceptable enough, and it worked fine on hardware apparently.
That means it depends on the space left in the rom, but there’s already a good shot all of them can be included.
I’m unsure if they have even used any of the rebuild patches, so there could be even more space lying in wait. It comes down to what they do. There’s quite alot of wiggle room if these clear patches work on the rom safely!

Can you post the Zelestia one? She looks like she has the same face as Zephia which would be sad since she is such a sweetheart.
Finally, the engage system is done. The remaining part is the battle animation.
