I think maybe it is not possible to issue more than one AoE in a single event.
The AoEs appear to be executed together after the event is over.
The memory slot is used as a global variable to execute the AoE.
So, if I instruct the execution of three AoEs, I think the first AoE will destroy the memory slot, which will break the execution of the subsequent AoEs.

@LucaYoshi it seems the way I coded AoE does not support doing multiple AoEs in one event. Sorry. It queues AoEs to happen at the end of the event instead.

I think you could achieve a similar effect by having them be range events instead. Create a new ai2 that walks to a specific coord, then next turn noop, then on the 3rd turn walk a step away from the ballista. Your range event should check if the active unit is the one you expect and/or is an enemy. Then have it choose a random AoE you’ve setup.

Thanks! I’m definitely gonna try that and move the tile revert to an ally phase event, so I can have the shot happen on the higlithed tiles, if that doesn’t work then I’ll probably work around the problem and make the 3 ballistas alternate each other and basically have them shoot one at turn every turn which really sounds a lot more sadistic ahahaahahah :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

Hi. I’m trying to have Thracia-style Fog of War in my hack, but can’t find a concrete answer on how. Not exactly sure what to edit on the tileset palette screen here.

You would want to simply set every color on the palette (all 5 fog ones)to the same black.

I’m not too familiar with palettes, so which are the five fog palettes you’re referring to? I see 16 on the palette menu in my screenshot.

There are 5 fog palettes of 16 colors each. As you can see in the screenshot, you’re on Palette No. 1 (1000), and can use the dropdown to switch to the others.

Hello everyone, I am wondering if anyone can help me with a problem that I’m having here. I’m making a Remake of Fe8 with a skills patch and I’m currently working on Chp 4 “Ancient horrors.” But in this specific chapter, when the preparations screen starts, Eirika, Seth, and Arthur all get insane stat boosts for no reason intended and the game crashes randomly during said preparations screen or when the battle starts. Does anyone happen to know of this sort of issue?

Another note: This is after I had removed the event when Arthur fights the monster in the cutscene since the game would also crash when the monster is supposed to disappear.




Fyi:

This happens when you load many units in the same unit group. To avoid it, make sure you never load more than 15 units in one unit group.

Hi everyone i was basically trying to use a patch but it said i needed lyn, i got it but now i dunno where i need to put it, help?

Just curious, is it safe to use item slots A2, A3, and A4 in FE8?

I’m trying to inventory some possible slots to use for more monster weapons and I’d like to know if these will cause glitches or anything if I attempt to use them.

ItemID A2, A3, and A4 have no problem.
but, A6 and B5 are problematic.

Hi. I’m having a problem where when this event is triggered, the tiles around the throne room become glitchy and freeze the cursor when nearby, effectively softlocking the game. Idk what could be causing it.

Try this instead. You don’t need those EVBIT_T 9 commands, you can keep them if you want to have the camera show where Dusknoir teleports to. Notice how I removed Dusknoir from the units that are loaded after the warp.

Thanks, but the gimmick is that there are two different Dusknoirs in the ROM with different stats. (A2) is the playable one and gets replaced by (84) after the talk conversation is initiated. So I have to have (A2) Dusknoir leave the map.

In any case, 7743 helped figure out the problem. The Time Gear weapon (84) Dusknoir has had garbage stat booster data that broke the HP cap. That’s why it glitched lol
