Just curious, for those who played and/or are playing Embrace of the Fog, what are your favorite Units and Strategies to use them with.
My favorite is just Rushing whatever objective with Hyde, L.T., Asriam, Advertiser, with J.G. as a backup Mage, but I also use Excalibur and/or Stelle when I need to grind a certain resource (or Essence) with Excalibur being a strong early game sword if you don’t mind his drawbacks.
It really depends on the run. I generally just make up a party around the bonus units at the time, but I had a lot of fun trying a “summoners” run. Ecila, Risa, the girl from Illusory Dungeon, Roh, Leechmonger specially. His fungi allies were really useful for the 3B boss stage.
I’ve also got quite some practice using “death” oriented teams (platoon, keres, Vandread, Orlen, Letja) and “1 HP” Teams with Valentine, Rio and Goggles.
I got addicted to this combination of unit but it only works in long runs and can’t work well in short runs.
For density 0-5, Beau, Ralio, Hei, Stacks and Aurelia. DO NOT get the nothingness upgrade for Ralio, it will ruin him, besides that all upgrades for this group.
Give the covenant to Hei and your first Knight’s path to Hei. Covenant comes from Beau and Knight’s path comes from Ralio after you break his mockery weapon. This will give Hei a +10 in all growth and is gonna be your main unit for boss killing.
Use stackz to get a extra Ascension to Beau every chapter, which probably wasn’t intended… Beau will become a secondary boss killer once they reach 30 stacks.
Mainly focus on breaking mockery and spamming execution using stacks to use it a extra 2 times for bigger maps. With practice you will see Ralio will be able to wipe most maps in 1-3 turns and even cheese some bosses. Be careful with execution since some bosses can counter from any range, I got Ralio killed many times like this. Once you get all your main united knighted, Ralio role is to wipe hordes of units quickly or deal with powerful non-boss units in one go.
Aurelia is just my preferred tank, has provoke, bad growths but one of the best Prf weapons in the game.
After density 7, this strat doesn’t work out to well for me.
