I mean robin wasnât terrible, he had a little bit of a personality.
And if Kris didnât steal lines and over all spit in the face of Kagaâs game then people may have liked them more
I love the unit(if more balanced),I hate the character
I think Robin should have been the last avatar for this series.
I love Robinâs character, and not because theyâre an avatar, but because of their balanced role in the story, helping Chrom lead their friends into battle. I like the idea of him being taken in by strangers and making friends/family with them. Itâs the kind of found family trope that I really enjoy.
That aside, though, I definitely prefer for Fire Emblem games not to have an avatar.
I think custom characters may be less intrusive if they werenât at the center of the story, maybe not even showing up for the first few chapters.
It could be much easier to insert them in as a random unit that gets recruited after the main lord hires a few mercenaries and then you get the custom unit as a bonus.
