Did Anyone Else Think Midir Was A Female?

The portrait is just a liar

He is kind of a bishounen, as it were, but I do think he’s recognizably meant to be a guy within the aesthetic context of Fire Emblem and other works with similar art styles. Fem!Midir/Edain would make for some great yuri, though.

not really

No, but he looks like a genderbent Vanessa (even if he came first)

i dont remember what i expected when i first saw him but i wasnt at all surprised when he turned out to be a guy. fe4 ports are just kinda wonky. in every depiction of him hes very recognizably bishie rather than outright looking like a woman. the only real examples in fe i can think of as being super egregiously “draw a woman call a man” are rosado and forrest, where its the whole point, and lucius, who genuinely does just have the gba woman face

No, I didn’t

Nah. H

honestly I spent the whole prologue being like “This guy looks like a girl but he’s in love with a woman so he has to be a dude because Yuri Shimai’s first issue was published in 2003” and being a little bit sad about that

I didn’t think Midir was a woman, and I also could tell Rosado, Forrest, and Lucius were men too. But Rickard. I genuinely thought he was a cute girl. He has to be genderfluid at least that’s my head canon now
