Deploy selected units from two parties into single chapter

Hi kind people of FEU! I’m thinking of making a reskin of FE8 with both routes playable. In the rejoin chapter (Scorched Sands), I want to do a deployment from Eirika’s party, and a separate deployment from Ephraim’s party.

Something like:
Chapter begins from Eirika’s POV → Call preparation screen, select 8 units from Eirika’s party and deploy units at the top of desert.
Cutscene from Ephraim’s POV → This time, deploy 8 units from Ephraim’s party and deploy at bottom of desert.

Alternatively, I’m thinking another way is to pre-select units for one party, then load them directly in their respective position, before calling preparation screen for the other. But I’m also not sure how to do this.

Is this possible?
