I know there have been discussions on why and how Dark Deity was bad, but I was wondering if anything has been fixed for the upcoming Nintendo Switch release and if anybody has any opinions on that? I’m curious on playing it but don’t want to be throwing money away on a product that’s not worth it.
I really don’t know if that is possible to be released on the switch.

After seeing gameplay of dark deity, reviews, and some of the… less than stellar maps I decided not to pick it up, I can play much better fire emblem like games on my laptop for free, however if there will be a switch port the question is if the price tag is worth being able to play a new fire emblem like game on the switch, In my opinion it isn’t but I know some would say the price tag is worth it for them.

Yeah, it was announced at gamescon just last week and the trailer for it looks really good and they hyped the shit out of it from the trailer.
Lol yeah, I was kinda hoping since it’s been released and they’ve been able to get feedback on it they’d have reworked some things and had updates for it to be presentable on Switch.

I was hoping they saw those reviews and actually did something to fix them to warrant a Switch release since they’ll probably hike up the price for it being on a Nintendo console.
Unfortunately the DD cord people like the game too much to point out the flaws and there are like a total of 3 negative reviews on YouTube. The devs are probably feeling good about themselves right now.

Have you played the game before? If so, what do you like about it and what makes you want to grab it for switch?
haven’t played it yet. i like SRPGs and i like how it took inspiration from FE. I heard the controls were pretty clunky on PC so i’m hoping the switch plays a little smoother.
The devs update the game so in my mind, the longer the wait, the better the experiene ought to be.

I would definitely be interested in getting this on Switch. But it needs to show a lot of real improvement first. There was a time where SRPG alone would sell a game. But we live in a world with so many amazing games, and SRPGs. There is no excuse to play something with the issues Dark Diety has.
Yeah, playing through DD, I didn’t enjoy it enough to replay it. Too easy to juggernaut through, maps were too big and a slog, and the story was just… bad. I enjoyed some of the characters, but the way it was set up seemed to be that it was meant to be sandboxy so the player could run anything they wanted and make busted builds. Because of that, maps weren’t really interesting rather than fun, since they had to account that the player could be using any sort of team. Overall it wasn’t really that fun - maybe it’s just me though, since there are obviously some people who enjoy that sort of gameplay.
