Custom Palettes

Just wondering, what’s the general consensus for how people make custom battle palettes? Do you use FE Recolor, or edit the palettes by hand?

FE Recolor is mainly used for battle animations, and nothing else. You can use it for other things, but it’s generally not useful for those purposes. For editing most palettes, Usenti is what I use, especially when editing tileset palettes. If you’re unsure what to use, just go Usenti. There are other programs out there that others use, but I primarily use Usenti and FE Recolor.

Yeah, I was referring to battle palettes. Edited the post for clarification. Thank you, though! I was wondering how many people used Recolor vs Usenti for those.

Personally, Usenti is your best bet, but I prefer directly doing the palettes in FEBuilder. I don’t like FERecolor, personally, but it’s fine

FERecolor is especially nice if it has each color in the palette labelled for the animation you’re working with
