Dear Mat,
I hope you’re doing well. I’ve been informed that this first line is dedicated to you, and though I may not know who you are, I truly look forward to getting to know you better as our individual journeys slowly coalesce into one. When I can look upon you, deep into your eyes of an undetermined color, and see a friend… that’s when I’ll know we’ve accomplished what we set out to do. Only then can I draw my final breath with a smile on my face, and only then can you turn your back on this life you’ve lived. We’ve still too much to do, my future friend, but until then I hope you can read this and rest easy, knowing your well-being is on my mind.
