It’s January. That means one thing: powercreep via democracy.
Last time, Bernadetta finally won, being the bridesmaid no more. Engage made its debut to achieve nothing: it received many votes, yet not a single victory.
The road looks clear for M!Byleth: he holds a comfortable margin from the competition and few rivals for Fodlan’s votes remain in contention - M!Shez is the closest and only has about a third of his votes.
Proportionally, Sigurd looks like he’d be comfortably in second. However, the Jugdral fanbase has two horses in the race. If all unite behind Sigurd, he wins. If all unite behind Leaf, he wins. If the votes are split 60:40, neither win.
Engage has released two years ago, and the new game shine has worn off. Many of its characters held places in the top twenties: Diamant was the highest amongst the male characters. Will the “Brodia Bros” come together, or will the votes be split many ways?
On the female side of the bracket, Yunaka and Ivy were third and fourth. But time has marched on, and both are in the game (though Yunaka is in alt hell). Will their appeal endure?
After them comes Azura, a perennial high-ranker. She only has a 600 vote gap to make up to Ivy: is this her year? Keep an eye on Sharena too: Alfonse votes may well transfer to her.
