Thanks so much for playing, and thanks for the feedback.

Secrets:
I can 100% agree that the gaidens need some touch ups. 7x’s is really just more of an optional chapter than something you could accidentally miss. And 11x is so gamebreaking with a number of elements, namely Shay, the dagger, and all that money. I’ve got a few ideas to keep it balanced.
As for the secret items in each level, I’ve actually been playing with the idea of just making every secret a simple item, like maybe a Class Mirror, and then putting the original secrets as an obtainable in the level as a chest or a droppable. For the very point that the secrets should be a fun little innate thing that you shouldn’t feel the NEED to find.
EXP & Units:
Yeah, balance is hard and EXP is something I’ve been trying to carefully balance between too much and too little. Seems like it might’ve gotten overcorrected at some point and needs a little help, maybe mainly for promos.
As for units, FotF does an interesting thing where units are leveled from 1 to their joining level when they first show up. Meaning that their stats can have quite a variance. A number of people have commented issues with this though, and I’ve thought about just going ahead and making a modifier that will give them a set amount of stats.
And for Promos, all units should promote after hitting 20 without items, except for the lords, and other special classes ||like the dog||. If any aren’t, please let me know cuz it’s probably a bug.
Oddities:
Speaking of bugs it sounds like you found one in 19, I thought I fixed it, but I’ll double check to make sure.
I added that final grind spot since I didn’t have one after 15 at the time. Now it’s far less necessary, but I think it’s fine, it’s not like you have to use it. As for enemy quality, yeah the skirmishes there used a unique code that would level up the enemies based on your average levels. I do believe I’ve reduced the levels of that area a bit, though maybe not enough.
I’d love to more about chapters you found yourself struggling with. The immediate ones I can think of are maybe 9, 12, and 14 which are admittedly the most complicated and largest ones. I’m not against streamlining some of them, especially if it would improve the fun.
Plot Stuff (Spoilers)
So as far as August stuff specifically, since Hard Mode will be taking place from the perspective of August, I might have not included enough in Normal mode to have that moment really impact the player. Could be something I could write through a few more times to give it a bigger oomph.
As for Rodius II, I actually wanted originally include another bad guy gaiden (with him as a playable) to give him some more screen time and make him feel more like a character.
And for Rodius VIII and end game questions left unanswered, I was planning on a few of those being answered in Hard Mode, but yeah a lot of them are set up for a sequel. Though the goal is never to leave the player frustrated, so I could see myself adding some more answers to the end chapter/scene.
Overall I’m very thankful for the notes and will definitely be working to address the things you’ve commented on in the coming weeks. Thank you so much again for taking the time to play <3
