So I recently started working on this ROM hack, and everything was going surprisingly smoothly. I changed some of the classes to add custom classes, added their animations, made a couple character portraits, etc., and when I went to test it… It was as if battle animations were off, only they weren’t. I tried looking up the issue, but it doesn’t seem like anyone else has encountered it, at least as far as I could find. I usually work with FE8, but going by what I’ve seen, there’s a lot of manual work required to nix the world map, and… Well, I’m lazy and forgetful. If anyone needs any more details on what I did while working on it, like not using Nightmare, ask away. If it’s an FE7 thing, then I’ll just switch to FE8 and manually remove the world map segments.

Here’s a zip file of my project. In it is the newest version of the ROM hack, a report I made just in case if it’s necessary, and the base game of FE7 just in case if it’s needed. Part of me feels like I screwed something up in the hex editor, but I have no way to compare the two files’ hexes. Only thing I intentionally changed was the tactician (Hex 0x0A0734, changed it from 01 to 02.)

Edit: The game is perfectly functional, it just won’t show battle animations, even with unmodified classes and characters.
Edit 2: Changed the drive link to remove the ROMs, and instead contain a ups patch.
