Yeah, I unfortunately agree that it does blow when innocents get hit too hard.
In my case, I have some… “quirks” that make it difficult for me to properly express myself, and just as difficult for me to pick up certain queues when reading and talking to people. But we’ve gotten far off topic here.
Back on topic, I have always had a certain belief when it comes to swearing.
Cursing in a hack is all or nothing, you only use it when it applicable to the tension of the conversation it is being used in.
While casual cursing is common nowerdays, it wouldn’t be in medieval times.
You should also never “halfstep” on cursing, such as going “fuk” or “F***” since that can completely ruin the tone you had been trying to set in the scene.
