Anyone thought Fire Emblem felt more like a Death Game than a typical RPG

Due to the permadeath system. This game felt more like a thrilling game of death like SAW and Squid Game for a popular example. The characters have great feats but they’ll lose them through your run due to your mistakes. Instead of scripted deaths like the typical feat of the genre, you make your own thrilling journey of your characters who are bound for survival.

Thracia is a great example for this…

bro is like one of those antagonist generals who don’t care how many of their soldiers die in pursuit of their goals

Fire Emblem is a wargame. You’re not commanding 70 characters in a “typical RPG.”

Honestly, if there’s like a mode where you have a lord with background story and dreams and all other playable characters are generics which will be replaced next chapter if they die, every chapter will really feel like a war.

I kinda saw it more like Hunger Games in the way that you have to get your own equipment depending on the game and depending on the game some equipment is rare or money is rare
