Hey so I decided to use the Specter animations for a personal project im doing and it appears that whenever the unit does a basic sword attack the game soft locks all the other animations work fine on it just the normal sword attack breaks the game I don’t know anything about scripting the animations so i don’t know how i would fix it
I just checked the script, and it was missing an important command. I made a
quick hotfix.
the spectre is one of my favorite animations ive ever seen, so sick ![]()
Thank you it worked!
Y’all are so smart. I haven’t play tested any of my animations, so I appreciate you troubleshooting my broken things! ![]()
Hey there! Firstly, I just wanted to thank you for making such cool animations - the shinobi/ronin cyclops, warbird, and specter particularly jumped out at me, and I used the specter to learn more about adding classes to the game. He looks just as cool ingame as he does in the gifs!
I’m not sure what I’m going to do with the cyclops, but they look too fun not to do something with in a monster-heavy hack, lol.
I realize the topic is not recent, but I thought it might be worth reporting some issues with the Warbird clipping during both her melee and bow attack animations; when she flies far back, it causes some of her sprite to be cut off and clip over to the other side of the screen. The overall animations are phenomenal, it’s just those two bits that seem to break a little.
Similarly, her portrait is great, but the space between expressions seems to be messing up her ingame portrait a bit - there’s a line across her face.
The Cyclops Ronin is phenomenal, and the only issue I found with him was that his crit animation has a bit of clipping as he fades backwards as well. Much less common and a bit less jarring, but still notable.
how did bro drop so much heat and then just… LEFT? like am i reading this right? dec 2023? That’s crazy.
Hey! Thanks for the kind words! And I apologize for the broken things! I appreciate you bringing them to my attention.
Warbird - clipping!
This was my very first animation, so it makes sense that I would have no concept of clipping occurring when visual material moved too far to the right (the area under the color palette). I went through each of the problematic frames and edited this, so the frame files should be updated in my drive. Let me know if I missed any!
Warbird Portrait - face lines?
I’m much less familiar with portrait anatomy, so you will have to let me know if the changes I made solved anything. The file has been updated in my drive.
Ronin Cyclops - also clipping?
I combed through all of the critical frames in search for what could possibly be causing the animation to clip, but to no avail. I didn’t find any areas where the image passes beneath the color palette. Could you provide more details?
Thanks!
Bro had a baby!

it’s a joke lmao.do I need the /s on the end or somethin?
Damn all of these are amazing.
Anyways bro for real tho congrats about the kid. Hope ya got time to drop more amazin stuff my G
I actually made a fixed version of the warbird lady myself for a PME a while back that fully fixed all issues, feel free to steal it lol
Hey there, I apologize for the late response.
For the Ronin Cyclops, when he splits into afterimages for the critical, parts of the two rightmost afterimages clip over to the far left of the screen. I struggled to get a good screenshot of the ingame visuals, but in FEBuilder’s animation preview I managed to find a good still frame of the lower clipping, near the bottom left. There’s also some up closer to the top left that I wasn’t able to get a good screenshot of.
Hey man! No worries.
I checked through the frames in my drive and the frames in the repo and double-checked them in the FEBuilder, and I’m not seeing the clipping that you’ve shown. I know this was brought to my attention sometime in the past, and I’m fairly certain I fixed it, so it shouldn’t be clipping like that anymore. Maybe there’s something in the repo that hasn’t been updated…? Try grabbing the file from my drive and see if that version is clipping. If it is, I’ma have a cow. ![]()
