A forum as big as this is overwhelming lol but anyway! I’m Reader or Luv, either is fine, and I’ve been on such a big FE kick lately that it finally got me looking into this community. I mostly found myself shockingly hooked on making maps now that I’ve just about figured out how FEMapEditor works, and I wanted to share some of the ones I’ve made to see what other people think.
I want to dip my toe into sprite art, too, but since my only real experience is a lot of Pokemon spriting FE sprites feel like a very different beast, lmao. I’m best at taking existing stuff and modifying it, rather than creating sprites wholecloth, which does work somewhat well for FE sprites, but animation is something I’ve only really watched videos on and know the basic theory of, lol, so a lot of the details are still a mystery to me. I’m planning on posting some of the maps I’ve made and a little other thing I decided to do on a whim in another thread, which I might link here afterwards? We’ll see lol.
I became “Reader” a few years ago when a Korean webnovel reached into my soul and showed me the fundamental core of it and that core was, in fact, “Reader.”
… that sounds dramatic, but I love stories a lot and think about them too much, as one might have noticed if they saw my rambling about Dimitri and Three Hopes in my off-topic thread.
I also realized I should say more about FE on the FE forum so!
Favorite FE is actually Fates. I think its story is kind of underrated, there’s a lot of interesting thematic stuff there and Corrin is a fascinating character to me (and also my precious child)
I haven’t actually played a ton of FE romhacks yet, though I’m making my way through Sacred Echoes currently and have a few others downloaded now. When I was first looking into everything I found the sheer number of original story hacks kind of overwhelming because I had no way to gauge whether the story was going to actually engage me or not without putting in the time investment. Thankfully I found some good rec lists on here and have made a start at them, hence the recent downloads lol

Sacred Echoes made me want to play actual Echoes again while also reminding me of how many characters in it would have been Me-core if they weren’t just dicks.
Why did they make Berkut so attractive. It was just rude of them. And no one cares enough about Fernand and Clive and Melissa as a potential polycule for drama and fix-it reasons! It’s right there Kain Highwind is already the blueprint here it would be so easy lmao
Regardless I am playing them both because the gameplay for each is extremely fun (in slightly different ways! plus I have my kids set up differently in both) despite how ridiculously huge the maps can be in the 3DS game
Anyway the next one on the list is Hag in White, because the premise is genuinely such a fun one
anyway since Shadow’s nonsense has come and gone already, here’s a Voucher for free bombs from my Bomb Shop. I used to just directly give free bombs on welcome, but Shadow kept messing with them.
Oooh, fancy. Staves are my third best weapon if we don’t count dragonstones, after magic and lances, so I don’t know if I can use this yet but with some practice I should get it down. Maybe I’ll use it on the bombs I buy with this coupon and turn myself into an extremely funny siege weapon.
