The Soundroom: Music Repository

I’m getting a 404.

Try now, I had to make a quick fix.

Good News Everyone!

GoodNews

I reached out to the staff of khinsider.com regarding the use of their midis and they’ve given the green light to use them.

Their response:

Here They Are (A Whopping Library of 20,097 MIDIs From Video Games):

In Other News:

I’ve updated the repo to include Shtick’s pokemon track as well as a few FE2 songs that gamma DM’d me.

Final Note:

Please name the .s file so that it fits the template mentioned in the first post, you’d be doing me a solid by saving me some time.

Chair my man, you are truly a champ.

The site and Sappy aren’t cooperating today so you only get two songs:

Kirby and the Amazing Mirror - Boss Theme
Kirby and the Amazing Mirror - Dark Mind Phase 2

Excuse the double post, but I fixed the cracking noises from my previous songs and added 4 more:

  • Castlevania - Stage 6 (AKA Out of Time)
  • Final Fantasy 5 - My Home, Sweet Home
  • Golden Sun - Isaac’s Battle Theme
  • Megaman X5 - X vs Zero

Get the 6 songs here!

I am proud to announce my first submission to the music repository: the Final Fantasy 3 boss theme!

FF3 - Boss Theme

I might put together more songs like this in the future. For now, I hope you enjoy this one!

Not to be that guy, but I have already used KHinsider for a while to make insertable music, but I can confirm that they’ve got hella MIDIs.
Again, sorry if it’s dickish of me to post something like this lol.

The fifth guideline in the first post specifies that the songs submitted to the repo need to be from a f2u source (or ripped from the source).

I put that guideline in place because I believe in the notion of having honour among thieves.

Unlike the Midishrine, KHinsider doesn’t explicitly say that the midis they host are free to use anywhere on their site; that’s why I took the time to contact them.

What you do for your own project(s) is of no concern for the repo.

FE12 - Liberation
Pokemon DPPt - Battle! Vs Cyrus
Pokemon DPPt - Battle! Vs Arceus
Pokemon BW/BW2 - Battle! Vs Alder/Banjiro

Liberation has some weird thing in it but it shouldn’t be anything major, the rest work as intended.

Here’s the Hero of Hyrule to the songs.

What do you mean by ‘weird’?

Also, in the future please follow the format for naming the .s files.

I’ll add them tomorrow some time along with the earlier submissions yet to be added.

Music from my Justice and Pride hack that I want to share.

Track List

FE2 - Final Map
FE4 - When the Rush Comes
FE10 - Ascent
FE14 - Justice RIP
FreedomHouse - From the Deepest Shadows
Metal Gear Solid - Encounter
MOTHER 3 - It’s Over
MOTHER 3 - Love Theme
MOTHER 3 - Memory of Life
Super Metroid - Lower Brinstar
Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Main Theme
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - Menu
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker - Puppet Ganon (Snake Form)

"Notes on the FreedomHouse song

The song itself is custom and not from any game. FreedomHouse is the site it’s from (There’s a link in one of the music blitz replies). The title, From the Deepest Shadows, is one I made up.

With the exception of the FreedomHouse song and FE4’s When The Rush Comes, all MIDIs are from MuseScore or VGMusic, so credit to their respective creators. When the Rush Comes is from that angelfire site that has MIDIs of the entire FE4 soundtrack.

Source of song:
https://gamebanana.com/projects/35179, Touhou 4, by ‘icebnm23230 - XG’. I did not create the Midi, all I did is made it portable and tinkered with it a bit so that it looped nicer and wasnt as loud.

Thanks to the Music room for occasionally helping in my endeavor to put all of my favorite touhou songs in gba soundfont stuffs.

I’m back from… doing some other stuff, with music to show off from Final Fantasy 5 and 6!

FF5 - Cursed Earth
FF6 - The Unforgiven

I hope you enjoy weird spooky pirates, and/or traumatic flashbacks to the Midnight Sun stealth chapter!

This puts us at 199 songs, I believe. …OR DOES IT?

The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords - Boss Theme

And now we have a clean 200. Not long to go until we hit 255!

Wow, I’ve been listening to a lot of Final Fantasy music recently. But hey, it gets you guys more songs!

FF4 - Red Wings

Now I just need to get songs from FF1, FF2, and FF7, and I’ll have a complete set! Any ideas?

I’d love to get my hands on the FF2 rebel army theme.

I’ll probably get to that next. But my current priority is music I’m using in my hack.

Speaking of music I’m using in my hack…

Chrono Trigger - Boss 2

All ye Chrono Trigger fans out there, rejoice! I saw some CT (no, not Corrupt Theocracy) songs in the original Music Blitz, plus that one thing Sme did at some point. Let’s add another piece to that list!

(Also, the Music Blitz should really get integrated into the full repo.)

Added to the repo. Feel free to make submissions in batches in the future, you don’t have to do them one by one; but you do you.

As for integrating the Music Blitz tracks into the repo, it’d take some work to format the names to fit the template the repo uses. Unless people really push for it, I feel like linking to the MB thread is enough.

I’m just posting songs as I put them together. I could do a big batch submission, but I’d probably forget about half the songs I want to submit halfway through.

You messed up with adding to the repo, by the way. I submitted Boss 2, not Battle 2. The titles are similar, but the songs are very different.

Yeah, the MB stuff makes sense. It’s just a bit annoying having to check the Music Blitz thread whenever I want to see what songs they have, instead of just having them in one big thread. Maybe I’ll go through and put those songs into repo format at some point.
