Awww I understand, well once again thanks for making this wonderful hack. It looks similar to a certain patch but I won’t say his name because of reasons. But yeah thank you for this hack.
So, a small criticism on replay, but early on, there’s alot of 1-2% crit chances from enemy units, and frankly it’s kinda frustrating to deal with when there isn’t much available to play around it, given how player phase heavy this feels. You have to attack into enemies to gain ground and not get overwhelmed, and they’re so strong, you can’t really have them crash into Bors or Marcus; you HAVE to attack into them.
If you update this again, consider lowering early game enemy skill by a few points, or giving everyone early game a small luck boost to prevent frustrating resets.
Huh that’s an interesting observation. I don’t really know exactly what’s been changed, I haven’t touched any enemy growth rates from the original nor their bases (aside from the soldier) and I’ve given most player units some pretty good buffs. iirc you don’t really face that many low percent crits in the original, so I don’t know what is going on exactly.
I’ll look into the earlygame again through replaying but I’ll see what I can do about it during the next update (don’t worry progress has been slow since, well College, but there is some things I’ve been planning on changing around so I hope I’ll be able to get out the next one in a reasonable amount of time).
You know what it might be, I ended up figuring out how to add fixed growths, and thinking back it’s the Soldiers giving me trouble with that! I apologize for the silly complaint haha; I’ll just need to be careful with them, but those ones with Javelins are fucking ROUGH
What is he cooking ![]()
OH RIGHT NOW THAT YOU MENTION IT
Yeah it’s updating the 0% growths patch and also adding fixed growths. Some other important things I’ll mention but won’t go into depth about: most of the major things is implementing 14x (FINALLY) and some balance changes for Ilia in particular. There may also be something cool on the horizon (which may or may not include another game mode???) so ya’ll should look forward to that…
Hello, just made an account to tell you that i really liked this project, played FE6 years ago but i really like the changes that you made and the visuals are a great improvement, if i recommend FE6 in the future ill tell them to check your project first, some purist may disagree, but this was a more fun experience that my first time playing FE6, which in my opinion was more tedious than challenging (still a solid game tho), also was able to play units that i rarely touched thanks to the buffs, anyways, great job!
Project Sienna v1.3 is out! Still haven’t gotten around to Chapter 14x yet (the disappearing tiles gimmick is a real pain in the donkey to balance, you’ll see once you get to it in its so far incomplete state), but this update is sorta the prequel to the Chapter 14x update in that it’s an update that, for the first time, a map has been edited again since release. This time, to Chapter 8! More detailed information in the changelog.
Project Sienna v1.3
- Chapter 8 revamped layout
- Multiple minor (and 1 major) character edit/s
- Increased enemy Pegasus Knight difficulty in Ilia
- Minor map and dialogue fixes
As for when the Chapter 14x update will come out… Who can say. Regardless, I hope you enjoy!
Just started the update. Thanks for adding the Casual Mode in this updated version though for curiosity what changed your mind on adding it?
Not sure, I guess at some point I changed my mind on its accessibility. It’s a toggle at the very start of the game, so I didn’t think there was any downside to adding it. Just a cool thing to add that doesn’t detract from the experience.
Sounds understandable. This probably will be one of the best Binding Blade romhacks I’ve ever played and with these updates and improvements it makes it much better than before. Casual mode being added on does make it more accessible for beginners and casual gamers so it does ease the stress out a bit. Unfortunately for the YouTube community it’s getting less recognition over there.
Hello
I don’t really know why, but both in normal and hard mode, I turn casual mode off and it’s still on
On my first run, hard mode, I got to chapter three, my wolt died the previous one
And yet here he was
The same happened when I was just checking on normal mode, killing everyone on chapter 1 except for Marcus and Roy
Please fix this as it’s very clearly not intended
Thank you
Oh huh, I see the problem now. I’ll get this fixed real quick
Edit: v1.31 is now out! What’s been changed? Only the casual mode issue. Yeah, this is the smallest patch notes ever
Thank you very much for the swift reply and fix
Hello! I have a question about thieves
I reached ch 3 and saw chad’s caps are very high, but do thieves also have higher growth rates or a higher max level, maybe 30?
You said they won’t promote, so I’m wondering how useful they’ll be, as I love thieves
This is awesome!
Thank you for creating this!!
Hi! I just reached chapter 8
Why is Cath aggressive? I wonder what the reason for that is
Thank you!
Hmm, I’m not sure. I may have accidentally messed with Cath’s AI when I moved her spawn location. Also to answer your question about thieves, they don’t have any higher growths nor do they have a higher max level. I’ve been trying to find a way to edit the max level cap of individual classes in FE6 for a while but I just couldn’t find a way.
I see
I just remembered how thieves are in shadow dragon and engage, and thought maybe that’s what you’re going for
I’ll also let you know, even if the thieves are just as normal, I’ll still use them
Fe6 is hard to mod, it seems
I’m happy with what we have, currently
My chad got two perfect level ups out of like five, so I thought maybe the growths were changed
Thank you for this hack!
Hello again!
It took me quite a while, but I’ve reached 16x
I immediately noticed my boy douglas has 20 res, which, hell yeah
However, I saw in the base stats file that he has just 7, is it not updated?
Also, what is up with fae? Making all dragonstones 1-2 range is cool, but making her divine stone unbreakable honestly makes her… Kinda broken in my eyes? Is that intentional?
Edit: holy shit, 16x was just agony
I’m sorry, but it just was not fun at all
Are you still reworking the chapters? Maybe just don’t do it to 16x… I lost 6 characters, and I’m pretty sure only two were actually avoidable
I’m not the best player, I know that, but three promoted enemies rushing me, while I can’t go attack them because of boss purge, but also the purge bishop will kill anyone who barely survives
I’m really sorry to be so negative, but I just really, really did not enjoy it
I do admit I love the stealables, but my god
I didn’t get the warp staff from arcadia, so I didn’t have that choice
I’ve been playing ironman and really enjoying myself, until now
This just absolutely ruined it
I really hope it’s just me, but ask others, or playtest it yourself
Thank you for making this, and for the last time, sorry
