[Lex Talionis] Scions of the Summit [13 Chapter Demo Available] [3 Routes Planned]

light pillars

The duration of runes set by light pillars is much higher than 1/it may not have a limit

One of our coders will be looking into it. Apparently they were having some issues with it in testing.

400 supports!!! I mean that alone is enough to get me to play this game at least 5 times lol. ahhhhh…I mean AHHHH

It was well above my initial estimate which I’ve already passed! Over 180 supports have been written as of this point.

One thing i forgot to mention on this screenshot (The lower one) is that the bishop on that group of 6 enemies moved after a while, but no one else did, mentioning it just in case they were supposed to

We were actually discussing this recently, but apparently there’s an issue with enemy support unit AI as a whole in LT. So they might do weird things. As I understand it it won’t be changed because it would cause issues for other complete LT projects.

Alright, Finished the demo and submitted the survey, decently fun but could use a bit more polish, looking forward to what this project brings in the future!

Just a tiny bit of feedback and a bug report

Astria (and the prepromotes in general) feel heavily underpowered, Her Personal skill does not have much impact, and her defense is low enough that allies can easily outgrow it, a base of (iirc) 11 is too low for her to remain useful past the first few chapters, her only saving grace early on being Unique usage of the speed shield, which would likely be moved to someone else later in the game.

Guns in their first appearance are very underwhelming, dealing 3 points of damage, with no scaling, is very weak at a point were most other enemy weapons would do more, even against Astria.

Light pillars as an item is too powerful, it being infinite and summoning 4 decoys that will almost guarantee enemies will target them lets you
trivialize most battles, most squads of enemies and most bosses, it may be a good idea to give it limited uses, either per chapter or in general.

Bugs:
Attempting to use a sororis seal with Faline or any unit unable to promote with it deleted the seal without a promotion

Thank you for playing and giving some great feedback! I’ll be sharing it with our team and hopefully we’ll be able to make some updates soon.

The Light Pillar is currently bugged and we’re working on fixing it to have a charge. And guns are something that are still in the works that we’re hoping to nail down in our next major update next year. I’ll also let the team know about the Sororis Seal bug and discuss possible buffs to certain units!

Just for fun posting the strongest guy :D

struggled really hard not to call him estrogen

Haha glad to hear you like him too! He seems to be hit or miss with the dev team in terms of strength. He did great for my personal run but one of our devs got blank levels for him and benched him.

I’m about halfway through the demo right now and I really really like it. I’m very invested in the political drama that’s going on and am finding each country really interesting!

I wrote a bit so I put the feedback here

I sometimes get the country’s a little mixed up because there are quite a few of them and so many things at play. Something I thought would be really neat would be to add some little world building tidbits in the Library section of the Codex- stuff like a brief description of the countries and their royal families. I’m low-key considering making a little cheat sheet for myself for when I eventually replay this because I find the interactions really compelling but keep forgetting names and things since I spend forever on the maps.

It might also be kinda neat to show the heirs of each country and where their country is on the map in the intro (kind of like how they do it at the start of Sacred Stones) to help introduce the setting. I find that the more I dig in, the more compelling it gets and I think giving all the countries some focus in the beginning would help build them up in a satisfying way. I might post again once I finish the demo, but seriously loving the characters so far!

Glad you’re enjoying the story so far! I do like the idea of adding a section about each country in the guide so I’ll bring it up with the team!

As for the intro section, our first demo received some feedback about slimming it down so unfortunately we likely won’t add much to it. Hopefully providing info on the guide will help add some intrigue though!

Small notice regarding a known issue in the game.

We’ve received some reports regarding Estrada’s personal skill persisting on Mythrias, Faline, and Astria even if they are outside of his range. We’ve found that this only seems to occur if you select restart level on an existing save file of the prologue. We aren’t sure why this is the case, so it is recommended that players select new game instead of restart chapter for the prologue if they want to restart the prologue.

This issue should not occur by restarting other chapters so long as restart level was not selected for the prologue.

Seems to be a thing across LT games since I’ve noticed a similar bug in my project as well. I’ve been trying to figure out how to reproduce the issue, but looks like you beat me to it! I’m gonna report that in the LTcord and see what the engine devs can do about it :+1:

Glad to hear it’s not just us! Roltair should be in the LT server so he can keep us updated on any fixes if they come up.

Just finished the Demo. Here are my impressions of each playable character from my one playthrough

Faline:

Faline was just absolutely amazing during my playthrough. 95 magic growth combined with a good 50 speed growth is just a recipe for a great unit, her low con never really mattered much as sunflash and mirage were really light so she was consistently doubling most enemies. The free healing from her blessings was also great as someone who’s pretty stingy with their staff use in FE games.

Mythrias: Weak sword locked lord, but this time they have an excuse, but in all honesty, the low strength wasn’t actually too much of a burden. Early game, he needed his party to chip things for him to kill anything but his dash attack was great for wasting boss tenacity. During chapter 2, you can buy a reinforced sword that brings his damage up to a respectable level, and he is so fast that the 10 weight never affected his ability to double enemies. Another thing to note is his surprising bulk, at level 13 my Mythrias had 30 hp and 10 defense, nearly on par with my level 3 General with 33 hp and 12 defense.

Note for anyone who wants to do the Gaiden Chapters:

Don’t use your strength boosters on Mythrias, chapter 9x will give him a strength boost but because I already gave him +4 to his strength, I ended up getting nothing

Guimar: The GOAT of my playthrough, he was absolutely pivotal in my completion of chapter 8, being able to shred through wyverns and is a great candidate for the nature catalyst. I’m certain I got a speed blessed by Guimar because he had no right being so fast with a 35 speed growth, good magic with a 60% growth is amazing, dex is a little low so be careful.

Natalia: Wyvern = Good unit. Not much else to say, I gave her the body ring and she consistently put in work. Though be careful about investing in her, it’s super obvious that her leaving will be part of the route split if you don’t ally with Zimagora.

Kuzma: Free weapons.

Grisha: Wyvern = Good unit. His personal weapon is great and gets you some extra money if you steal it before the end of his chapter. But in regards to his character, I hate him so much! Great job on that front. To the story writer, please give us the option to screw over his entire life, I don’t care if I have to follow an evil route to do it, let me topple Zimagora and put Kuzma on the throne.

Ryosuke: The premier utility unit. He does everything, he’s got locktouch, makes enemies do less and take more damage, he can give a movement boost or rescue someone with windswap. I am interested to see how his story develops when he eventually gets found out for being a spy.

Theo: High move healer, the Relieve staff patches up his low magic when healing, and he became the sole user of light pillars thanks to his high movement.

Astria: Your Jagean, keeps all of the benefits of a general with none of the downsides. In this game armor units have gotten buffed to 5 moves and Astria in particular was given naturally high speed as well as the speed shield, allowing her to keep up with enemy speed scaling and never get doubled besides some promoted enemies and bosses. Can also switch to a boss killer role with her stupid strong lavaforge axe. Absolutely carried me through the roadblock that was chapter 2 and remains good till the end of the demo.

Mina: The ever reliable early cavalier, her Rochade combos excellently with Astria turning her nearly invincible. I initially doubted her as her joining map didn’t leave that great of a first impression, but fog of war is never flattering for any unit. She really shined in chapter 9 being able to handle those wind sword myrmidons.

Estrada: In terms of combat, he’s easily the lowest ranking mage, which isn’t saying much as mages are great in this game. He’s just too slow to double things so he ended up as chip damage support. His Adept tutor skill was also very nice, free stats are always good.

Crispin: Archer with a real strength stat. Similarly to Estrada, he’s too slow to one round enemies but his massive strength stat leaves just about every enemy at one hit away from dying. His skill of turning enemies into green units seems really strong and it was very valuable in chapter 2 but as the game went on and my units could start killing much easier, I basically stopped using it.

Zara: Strong decently fast axe fighter, with a massive con. She could wield every axe you have access to this point with no drawback and had just enough speed to double wyverns, so she was useful for the Zimagoran maps. You have to pick between her and a lance fighter, and I’d say, besides chapter 9, an axe unit has a much more favorable matchup in most of the maps before that, big example being the Zimagoran Wyverns only having axes or lances.

Rodion: You love to see the bloody veteran turned peaceful priest, top tier trope. Useful when you get him as a second healer but once Theo came around, he got replaced. He does still have a niche with his debuff staffs that only he can use but I found that the game was still manageable without those debuffs.

Johanna: Noodle arm Pegasus. I didn’t use her too much during my playthrough, she was absolutely amazing in chapter 4 spamming light pillars to block our opponent, but after that she was just too squishy and didn’t do enough damage to justify fielding her.

Ali: By nature of this being a demo, you never get to realize Ali’s true potential, he stays well below the power of your other units. Maybe it was just the way I played but I found that with how quickly paced the maps are there never really is too good of an opportunity to really train Ali, feeding him a few axe fighters here and there was the most I could get before the maps were already over.

Leisl: Low investment alternative to Ali. At the cost of 1 less con, every single one of her stats was equal or better than my Ali’s. She’s a typical myrmidon, decent strength, great speed, low bulk.

Love the in depth commentary on everyone! I think the only one missing is Godric, but he won’t get to properly shine for a while.

It’s great to hear that you got a lot of value out of many of the units. I’m also happy to hear that Guiomar is putting in some work since we struggled a bit trying to give him a good niche.

Unfortunately we nuked the Light Pillars from the game since we were having trouble getting them to work as intended, so that might change a few opinions on some of those units.

Other than that, thank you for playing through the demo! We’re hard at work developing more chapters for the game. I’ve already started working on writing our routes so hopefully you’ll enjoy them, and maybe get your wish regarding a certain someone but who knows!

November 16, 2025 Update

Minor update with a few fixes and additions. Mostly early game dialogue updates as well as a fix to a crash that occurred in Chapter 2.

For new content, the Ryosuke x Johanna A support dialogue has been added to the game as well as conditional dialogue that becomes available in the Ryosuke x Mina B support after you’ve completed Chapter 9. You will have to replay or complete Chapter 9 and unlock Chapter 9x for the support menu in order to view this dialogue. If you have already unlocked their B support prior to completing Chapter 9, rewatching the support should reflect the change.

More information for this update is available in the changelog.
