look I’m not going to do the long post again, FEBuilder and Lex Talionis are both free-to-download engines that can let you create a Fire Emblem-style SRPG fangame as you want.
I don’t know exactly what you think you sound like, but to me you sound like you’re a ‘man of many ideas’ who, despite not having the time to learn how to make a ROMHack, somehow finds time to argue on the internet to a post mere minutes after they’re posted (i don’t have to put a link to this it’s literally the message before mine) whose tone in a post I can only optimistically hope to be well-meaning despite reading like it was lifted straight from an interview with Norman Boutin, famed author of literary mistake ‘Empress Theresa’ – my point here is that your messages give off the impression of someone arrogant, even a little annoying.
Now that’s whatever. FEU discourages arguing against someone for the tone of their posts, and while I might not like it – especially after you slandered a project in another one of that project’s creator’s threads, however offhanded it may have been – that’s not exactly my main problem here. My problem with all this is that you clearly have the time to invest into playing ROMhacks, comment on them and build up ideas on what would be cool to have in a game…and, like, that’s all you do.
And that’s great! Just, please go and learn how to make something – you don’t gotta start big, just literally do ANYTHING with FEBuilder or LTMaker on your computer to get the hang of things. Like I already said in the longer post before, there are active communities that can help you on your journey of making that fangame happen; hell, FEU here is one such community filled with many active ROMhackers and LT users who I’m sure will be willing to give you a hand if you ever needed it.
…Anyway, it’s come to my attention that while I did state that the community is open for discussion and actively giving you a helping hand, I neglected to give you an invitation or link to such a place; the forum format itself is a little bit troublesome to navigate for myself, so that much I understand. Here is a link to the FEU discord and a link to the Lex Talionis official discord. I hope this gives you an easier time navigating the resources that can help you make your desired project; or at the least, make an honest attempt at actually making your ideas into reality as easily as you seem to conjure them up.
I hope wholeheartedly that your insistence on pushing your ideas onto projects and to hold your ground are just honest attempts at criticism, but at some point please do consider taking a step back and consider how your messages may be interpreted by others trying to go about their projects their way. I have a personal stake in this (I’m literally in the credits here WWWWW), so I’m going to speak up seeing as you don’t seem to stop if no one is there to tell you to.
With that said, again. Please pick up FEBuilder or Lex Talionis and make – hell, TRY to make something – before you run off and give another idea or, anything by this point. You’ve got ideas, now go make it happen.
