Despite the cancer surrounding 3H vs Engage discourse (I’m not interested in Engage and enjoy 3H to clarify my position), I think the community has gotten better overall. 6 years ago I would’ve never expected to see people speaking positively about FE4’s gameplay, praising its unique traits shared by nothing else in the series, instead of bashing it for not magically falling in line with the norms later games set. I think people have become more open minded towards different gameplay experiences instead of begging for the same stale slop and that’s wonderful. I think interest in FE is also higher than its ever been, even if I think Engage hasn’t really made an impact. 3H is still in people’s minds and it got a cool spinoff that was what FEW1 should’ve been. From multiple perspectives, I can’t call the community “dead”.
