Oh, also, from these screenshots, it looks like your promoted stat caps are 30, right? There’s a patch you’ll want to apply to change the maximum stat bar length from 40 to 30 so that stat bars are easier to read/look like vanilla gba. I forget the name, but it should be searchable in the list of patches that come with febuilder.
I’m playing right now, and I’m quite enjoying the characters and story so far. Just came on here to mention that I turned Olli into a dusk cleric, and in battle when the cursor isn’t on him, he uses the sorcerer (?) sprite like I assume he’s supposed to, but when the cursor is on him, he changes to the princess/fancy lady NPC sprite. While the instant quick-drag is hilarious, I think it’s probably not meant to do that. ![]()
It’s an Easter egg!
Nah, just kidding, just a mistake. Thanks for letting me know, I’ll fix it. Glad you’re enjoying it!
No prob. His status screen (at least in battle, haven’t checked in prep screen) shows the fancy lady sprite as well, I assume because it considers the cursor to be on him. Not sure if that’s a separate bug or if it’ll be covered with the first fix. Also, Olli’s MAG cap as a dusk cleric is still 20 - I assume this was an oversight when creating the new class, unless he’s intended to only have 20 MAG to compensate for looking so cool, or . . . something? lol
Congrats on the release. Since this game’s inspired by Blessed Heart, I feel like I’m basically required to check it out, haha
It’ll have to be after I’m completely done with Fortune’s Weave, though, so, uh, that might take me a little while!
Another patch pushed out, and every bug reported so far should be fixed.
I’ve adjusted the hard mode enemies again so that hopefully hard mode is beatable, but it’s going to take a while longer before I can complete my hard mode playthrough and more finely tune it.
Thank you to everyone who is chiming in. I appreciate it.
Hey, thanks a lot! Blessed Heart was one of the first romhacks I completed. I really enjoyed it. I was playing when it struck me that it was essentially made by just a regular fan and I figured, well, if they can do it, why not me? And so here I am.
And yeah, I should’ve known better than to release my hack so close to an actual Fire Emblem game…
wow a full game with supports and endings…glad I teared myself from fortune’s weave for a spell
Pekka: I feel the unquenchable desire to steal things! I’ve got the itch!
Gretz: They make a cream for that.

Shouldn’t master seal promote pirates and thiefs or are there another promotion item for them?
Koivu can’t gain levels while unpromoted because his version of monk is set to 10 in the Level Cap Editor.
The dialogue at the end of the scene where you get the guiding ring isn’t properly ended so this happens:
That’s correct, master seal should promote both of those classes. I thought I had fixed that with the first updated patch, but I could’ve very well overlooked it. I’ll double check tonight.
Thanks for letting me know. I’ll fix it tonight.
Its okay, I know its just the one portrait, easily missable, just saw it in the final screenshot (the guy with the headband on the right).
I’ll get round to checking this out when i’ve the time and not working on my own hack!
I updated the patch again. A few more bugfixes, including fixing Koivu’s incorrect level cap.
Update: I just started chapter 17. I’m so invested in these characters. I only recall seeing maybe 2-3 typos in dialogue so far, which is quite impressive. I’ve DNF’d several rather highly-regarded hacks in the past because a lack of proofreading really breaks my immersion.
Found a minor oversight - Corsair King’s MAG cap is 20. I notice you just dropped a new patch literally as I’m typing this, so maybe this one’s already fixed.
Amazing job so far. ![]()
Hey, I’m so happy you’re enjoying it. It really means a lot to me to hear that.
Thanks for the update on the bugs. I fixed it, and a few more that I hadn’t caught.
You found typos!? Argh, I read through the script like 3 times, and thought I caught them all. I tried to really focus on the characters and writing. If you remember what or where the typos are, I’ll fix them.
Thanks again! Keep me updated!
Haha funny you mention that… Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 are some of my favorite games of all time. There’s some KH music near the end of the game. This line was a KH reference too.
I’ll absolutely make note of any other typos I find on this playthrough, and if I do a second playthrough I’ll document anything I missed the first time.
Some other thoughts:
- Love promoted Grimson and dragoon Kozun. I’m heavily drawn toward battle animations I haven’t seen before, and these are smooth as butter
- Also love the Gloom spell animation - haven’t seen that one before
- Are both of these chapter 17 recruits supposed to be getting doubled right out of the gate by enemies they have an advantage over? Fliers are usually pretty fast, aren’t they? Playing on normal
- PERSONA MUSIC!!!
- FINAL FANTASY MUSIC!!!
- Some other battle theme I love but already forget which game it’s from and I hope it plays again at some point
