Fire Emblem Temple of Ardesia [33 CHAPTERS, 19 Gaidens, 52 total]

Found a serious bug.
Whenever you have more than 100 items in the supply, you’ll lose them.
I’m looking to find a solution for this.
I advise to use other units to store excessive items before shopping or end events.

Tomorrow patch will contain.
-Fixed a bug on 3-5 in which the boss wouldn’t appear
-Sarimba now always crit when initiating combat
-Fixed a palette of the mage knight of Fiana’s personal guards
-There’s a problem with 3-5 in which sometimes foes get the wrong sprite, this is caused due
to the vast amount of sprites being processed. Nothing I can do, in order to fix it,
kill as many foes as possible.
-Fixed an issue with some cutscene. If for some reason the cutscene at the end event of 3-3 doesn’t work, try to restart the chapter (or makea savestate before finishing it)
-Reduced the enemies in 3-2xx (Trial of Mana) and removed many droppable tomes.
-For the chapters 3-2xx and 4-1x, if conditions are met and you got there, the following units will get auto leveled up unless they are already promoted: Minar, Malitia, Fausta, Lili, Piero, Paolus, Zomu, Bastiano, Vaska, Stoyan, Mojgan, Masohe.
-Fixed Gazhuizox having a sword instead of an axe.
-Zakyra will charge after you recruit Salara.
-Removed a few droppables in 3-5.
-Fixed a bug in 4-1x in which multiple excessive draco zombies would spawn.
Also, if you killed the wrong one, the mid game cutscene would replay.
-Always on 4-1x, if you kill the last foe before the boss, the midgame cutscene and the second part of the chapter won’t happen, so if intend to experience the whole chapter, kill the boss first.
-Removed many reinforcements from 4-2x. Fixed an issue in which the door in the
upper corner would close every turn. (Pro tip: if you are having troubles with the status staves, make sure to have one of your mages to have a divine equipped, it cancels status conditions).
-Sometimes in 4-2x, Hejira’s Powerstaff and boon skill don’t works all the time. I dunno why.
-Boss of 4-4 now appears on turn 13 instead of 15.

I know maybe it’s asking for too much but would you be up to a patch to keep the characters you removed (just for more options and additional playthroughs) without it potentially affecting the story? Perhaps some inner convos with eachother to keep em “relevant” even though the focus really isn’t on them as important members of the cast?

I’ve been deep into another Romhack rn and wouldn’t want to feel like I’d miss out on those characters.

I will think of that, after the game is completed. Remember that if you have more than 51 characters, new ones will disappear. In any case, I wasn’t expecting you to be attached to the removed ones, it was a decision I made mostly since I didn’t think the player needed more units
and I’m running low on space.

Version 1.74-half

-In addition to all I wrote above, fixed some minor graphical glitches in the cutscenes.
-Diluited the reinforcements in 4-8x, the number is the same, but they come in more turns.
-Added a turn counter in 4-10
-Fixed the intro cutscene of 4-7.

Now, I need to take a long break. I used enough fe builder in the past week.
The Last two updates will be the portraits and the dialogue.
I ironed out all bugs except the glitchy convoy. I’ll be look to fix it on V 1.77 (maybe).
For now, you can play it out without game breaking glitches.
If you encounter any, save before any start/end event and restart the chapter.
I hope that you can enjoy the game that I put so much into.

I found a way to fix the supply glitch. I will divide the convoy into two groups. Group A will have 50 item slots and will be used for part 1. Group B will also have 50 item slots and be used for part 2.
Group C will have 100 slots. I’m afraid that the player won’t have a supply of 200 slots.
This is the best I can do to ensure the intended experience. It doesn’t make sense for the second party to have the items of the first one.

Oh yeah, I probably should’ve written here about this earlier, but since I made my original comment here, I actually ended up finishing the game. Most notable problems were:

  • bits of broken eventing in part 4 (mainly cutscene battles + Wolfgang’s flashback scene? I couldn’t tell what it was because the event was so broken it put unit map sprites in a dialogue box)
  • kill/spare wolfgang doesn’t actually give a choice, it only allows you to choose yes and chooses for you if you press nothing (that one was really funny but almost certainly not intended)
  • there is currently an easy exploit with the “send your units away” mechanic - namely, you can send summons away as well, and you can do this an infinite number of times, earning gold each time you do it. this becomes an infinite money printer, which is obviously problematic – all you need is a unit that can summon and you can exploit this oversight. also, there is no check in place for sending away essential units such as your lords; i tested it out and the game didn’t prevent me from sending my lords away, although it did hang as soon as some events played on the next map that involved the lords. expected, but still, i think some kind of check should be in place to prevent these things.
  • speaking of eventing that has an oversight, i told the early axe fighters not to leave and they left anyway, without giving the stat boosts their departure was supposed to provide

also, i thought the map quality in part 4 kinda fell off a cliff, but it seems like you’re already working on these maps, so maybe they’ll improve. fwiw i’m glad you’re ironing out the bugs and stuff, gl with that endeavor

I’m glad that you managed to finish the game. I’ll try to fix these oversigths and work on part 4.
Btw, now you cannot send away the axe bros in 1-5x. You can still enjoy the boost tough!

It appears that you found the infite money glitch. I hope that you didn’t exploited it too much.
It surely will be fixed.

Today I was sick, so I spent the rest of the day in bed. Hopefully, the semifinal update will come next week. I’m almost done with the portraits and palettes.

-Updated many portraits
-Fixed a bug in which you could send phantoms away in 3-2x and 4-4x
-Fixed a bug in which you cannot kill Wolfgang in 4-7 end event
-Fixed the music in 1-5x, 2-5x, 3-2x and 4-4x.
-Fixed some cropped portraits, thanks to a patch.
-Fixed Tim and Tom leaving in any case
-Tom +3 speed, -1 con
-Ribald +8 luck

Version 1.76

-After years I finally managed to fix the convoy! Sad news is, it has only 100 items at most.
You’ll have to use units’s inventories as backpack. Now you have 50 items for part 1 ,
50 for part 2 and 100 for part 3 and 4. This is the most I can do. If I may suggest you,
use all stat booster that you get asap. There are plenty and they’ll make your
units stronger rapidly.
-Fixed the portraits of Nila, Nilo(casual version), Sika, Sero, Minar, Ardesian noble and soldier, Eusebios, Lili and Tom.
-Lili has new battle animations, to reflect her portrait
-Fixed some minor spelling and graphical bugs.
-Moved up some reinforcements in chapter 4-8x
-Chapter 4-1x works fine, as there was a bug that spawed wayyyy to many draco zombies.
-Fixed the end event of 4-7, where now you can decide to recruit Wolfgang (spoiler, recruiting
Wolfgang will make the recruitment of Reidun impossible)
-Removed Wolfgang flashback
-Fixed the infinite money glitch (the ones with the phantom)
-Fixed Tim and Tom leaving the party
-Tom is a woman now. I just needed to point that out.
-Tom’s skill is now Accurate Strikes. Add weapon weight to hit chance.
-Devil Axe doesn’t backfire. Instead it drains 8 hp after combat if foe survives combat.
-Marcello’s prf +3 might.
-Slightly changed map 2-3 design
-Fixed a bug where the house of 1-4 wasn’t possible to visit
-Maybe I’m just repeating what I said in 1.75…well, repetita iuvant (it’s latin, google it =) )

I still need to finish writing some stuff, but I estimate the hack is 99.9% complete.
The concoy was my main concern, but the max capacity is 100. I hope you won’t mind it.

Its really cool to see you stick to a project for years and be dedicated to the grind.

Finishing stuff is something that runs in my family. Hopefully I made something somewhat good.
