I started playing this in like I think 2022, stopped for a while, then saw you were updating it so didn’t start it up again, and I think I stopped at like 1-F. would it make more sense for me to start from the beginning when the final update is released?

The only thing missing is the story. I need to polish the writing and correct grammar mistakes.
By November I should have written all the story. If you are in only for the story, then I suggest you to wait. If you are interested only in the gameplay, then you can go.

Version 1.77

Quick bug fixes and adjustments
-Reduced some growths of player units in order to reduce snowballing
-Reduced xp gain by around 15%. I found out after some playtesting that player
units capped lvl at around chapter 4-6, which is way too early.
-Removed a promo item in 2-2 and substituted it with a Mageslayer bow, which
has been removed from a droppable hunter in the same chapter.
-Vaska and Stoyan must now be recruited by either Arnand or Salafir in 2-2.
-Removed a vigor potion in 1-2 and substituted with an elixir
-Removed a speed potion in 1-6x
-Beritian +1 spd/skl/res/lck
-Mojgan and Masohe are now lvl 15 with better stats
-Removed all droppable promo items in part 4
-The light rune in 1-7 has been substituted with a recover staff, the light rune can
be stolen from a fighter nearby.
-Removed many droppable elixirs in 2-4 and 2-5
-Since William skill was bugged, I substituted it with charge.
-Siege Knight strength cap 28 → 24
-Fixed a bug in which the boss of 3-5 wouldn’t spawn.
-Buffes the bosses of 3-1, 3-2, 3-3, 3-5 and 3-F.
-Fixed a bug in which the dragons of 4-1x wouldn’t spawn.
-Fixed the AI of the enemies in 4-6, when they used to ignore your units.
-Substituted some enemies (7) in 3-F with prepromotes.
-Fixed Odonorian sage in 4-4 not being able to use their tomes.
-Ivo Shenga appears in 4-4 but cannot be recruited.
-Ze Diong +1 spd, +2 res and lck.
-The shop in 3-3 doesn’t sell stat boosters anymore,but it sells some magic swords instead.
-Fixed the red house of 4-3 not being able to be visited
-Removed ballistas from 4-4, I think they were the cause of the glitchy units.
-Fixed a bug where Tom couldn’t be promoted with a Hero Crest.
-Fosco now drops a hero Crest, Vara drops a Knight Crest instead.
-Village south of chapter 2-2 has a killer edge instead of guiding ring.
-Gelipnir +5 DEF/RES
-Ivaldi ability has been changed, it now drains Hp, like Nosferatu.
-Ivaldi +5 uses.
-Sero -10% str growth.
-Torch staff has been renamed to Illuminate.
-Bishop lost the crit boost.

I made this patch to fix some serious bugs. You should use this.
Also, I reverted back the portraits of Sero and Nila.
Hopefully, the next one will be the final one (but considering how clumsy and forgetful I am,
probably it won’t). At least I can put the Complete tag finally up.
I also found another bug. When you change patch, for some reason, sometimes the difficulty will swithc back to Normal from Hard and viceversa. I’m planning to give a menu for the player to change that.

P.S. If you encounter any graphical bug during enemy phase or sprites who don’t animate properly, it’s cause you have too many units in your party. (I’m 99% sure that’s the case). In order to remove units, kill them or send them away in chapters 3-2x or 4-4x.

Version 1.78

-Fixed some graphical bugs in 3-5 and 4-8
-Added some droppables and stealables in 4-9
-Chapter 4-8x is significantly easier. Doors open every two turns, Arcadius spawn automatically on turn 10.
-Leadership stars give no +1 hit and avoid. To compensate this, many units have a different amount of leadership stars.
-Tirana and Hatinoa are mutually exclusive. If Tirana is alive, you cannot get Hatinoa.
-Gleipnir has no def/res buff, but now has 30 might
-Removed the bishops in 4-7x
-Moved up some reinforcements in 4-8 and 4-9
-Fixed the paladin reinforcements of 4-7 not charging the player units
-Fixed some units not charging the player units in 4-6
-4-6 now has the rightmost route covered by cliffs.
-Ganesh can be recruited. It was already recruited on 4-6 but some people were confused.
Yes. Ganesh joins the party.
-Added more reinforcements on 3-3.
-Just to note, defeating the boss of 4-7x will end the chapter.
-Skadrenia also appearson 4-4
-Boss of 4-4 arrives one turn earlier.

Which patch are you using? It seems that it’s the same bug with the camera. I thought I fixed that.

By the way, did Nathan (the sage on chapter 1-5) died in your playtrough?


The event works this way. If Nathan is alive he appears and gives Hejira a Fenrir.
If Nathan died in the chapters 1-5 to 1-7 he shouldn’t appear.
Maybe I’m missing a REVEAL, but even then, it worked for me (and my playtesters).

Version 1.79

Found out more staff that needed to be polished in part 4
-Increased the number of uses for the S rank weapons, but reduced crit.
-Gleipnir has 40 might now
-In 4-8x, Miriam drops an hammerne.
-Removed many gorgons in 4-10
-Added some stealable teal gems instead of the many stat boosters found across the game
-Speed potion, Boots and Roasted chicken have 1 use instead of 2
-Light brands can be bought in shops 1-7, 3-2, 3-F.
-Hammerne can be bought in 3-F and 4-8
-Added a reward for 4-1x (it’s boots!)
-Talos is slightly stronger
-Reduced considerably the graphical bugs of 4-4 and 4-8
-There are only 6 berserk staves in the game used by the enemies (not counting the anti turtle reinfrocements), two of them is in 3-F, two in 4-5 and two in 4-9.
-On the other hand, the player will be given plenty of silence staves (which can be bought in preparation shops), which can actually hit the enemy casters.
-Levis amulet +7 res, -5 def
-Changed some promo items location and rewards from the villages and chests. (in particular, in 3-F there’s a Fili shield and a white gem instead of armor slayer and zanbato).
-Also, there’s a hammenre and fortify in 4-10 instead of luce and luna
-In 4-7 there’s the warp staff instead of a rune sword in the bottom right towers’s chests.
-Added a special event in which the player will be given gold in 3-1 based on how much it had gathered in part 1.
-Added a few more magic swords to make Sika enjoyers happy.
-Many units are mutually eclusive now. If Tirana isn’t alive or recruited, you get Hatinoa.
Same for Durante. I found out that many didn’t use these units. Just remember that if you have 50 or more units, you should send some away.
-Slighlty reduced reinforcements in 4-9.
-Switched sleep staves to silence from the mage knights in 3-2xx.
-Removed a shadowshot and berserk staff from 4-7x.
-Remember that defeating the boss will also end the chapter early.
-Fixed a bug where 4-8 can be completed with rout.
-Fixed a bug where Reidun would appear if Wolfgang was recruited.
-Now there’s dialogue for William and Talos leaving the party.
-Mailita +5% speed growth, Hejira +20% speed/def/res growth.
-Nathan gets +4 autolevels once he rejoins in 3-3.
-Removed some fleets in 4-2, 4-3 and 4-4, but there’s a surprise for those who wanders in the waters…
-Zakuyo will charge the player on 10 minutes (I mean turns) on 4-3
-The warchieves (tent guardians) will also charge the next turn.
-Boss of 4-4 arrives one turn earlier (turn 11)
-Reduced slightly the amount of reinforcements of 4-5 and 4-6
-Took away some Nihanian units in 4-6, I think they distracted the Wyvern lords a little too well
-3-1x now works as intended. The saved villages give 1000 Gold each one. The units on the bottom right are four and will give you their inventories if they survive, also they are green. Also reduce amount of reinforcements.
-Beritian +5% str growth, Tebetian +5% def, Avilian +5% spd
-Buffed Malitia personal ability from -15 to -30 avoid
-Malitia skill stat has been decreased to 7 (-3) accordingly.
-Summoners in 4-8 start spawning one turn later
-There’s a special reward if you accept the boss challenge in 4-10
-Having Minar taking to Ivo in 4-4x will have learn a new skill.
-Fixed an error where Leis would say that Hejira is sick in 4-9.
The truth is Hejira is never sick :wink: she’s always ready to use staves twice.
-Added two stealables in 4-9
-Added a special event in 4-F with Malitia and Zomu (no spoilers)
-Added a special event in 4-10 with Marcello and Silvia (no spoilers)
-Poison weapons +3 might but poison damage is now 5 (from 10)

I can’t say for sure, but considering how often something like this has happened where somebody runs into a bug you say you already fixed, I wonder if some people are downloading one of the older patches by mistake.

Having eight be available from a single link makes it easier for it to happen than if only the latest patch were available from the download link.

Also, the patch in the Google Drive link is version 1.66, so anyone using that link would get an outdated version.

Then I need to remove the older ones.

I found out new bugs in the 1.79…Well, I’m tired. New patch tomorrow. I need to take a break.

Does it have or will have paired endings just asking out of curiosity

For now, no paired endings.

Sorry for the lack of uploads, my computer had problems. I’ll try to work again on it tomorrow.

V 1.79 bis

-Forgot that a file named V.179 was already present.
-Fixed some music not going away in some chapters.
-Adjusted some characters statistics
-Completing 4-1x will grant boots
-Speedwings, Roasted chicken, boots have one use instead of two
-Fixed some graphical bugs
-Diamond weapons have 20 uses now
-Added a second phase for the final chapter
-Losing civilians in 4-F won’t trigger the spawn of the final boss
-Moved up some chapters later the promo items in the chests of 2-3
-Sero and Tirana personal skills provide +30 instead of +100 crit
-Ekrian has 12 Magic base. Now the rogue promotion seems more interesting
-Fixed some cutscenes
-Removed the green units (except Durante) in 4-4. Can be summoned by having anyone talking to Durante
-Touched a little bit the palette of the plain tileset
-Added a few more dialogues

Sorry for the lack of updates. I think my pc is showing its age. By december I should release a new patch. Stay tuned.

To all the people who played my hack: what do you think of the promotions?
I was talking to a friend to discuss which promotions make sense.
In the next patch, I’m going to modify the promotion branches.

How likely is it that I can do a complete run without running into a game-breaking bug now? :sweat_smile:

About promotions, yea the soul of this romhack is that everyone is able to get a mount after promo. This is good and you should not change that.
