I’ve gotta say, what on earth compelled this hack to have “stealth” missions??? Chapter 15 is such a bad map overall. Extreme trial and error map…
I tried to not kill Mercer in Chapter 4, but he is not the boss in Chapter 16-1. Is there anyone know why?
Also, does anyone know which chapters have secret shops? I don’t really want the locations but I would at least like to know which chapters have them now that I have the member card
I must Say that this Game for me surpases every canon and non-canon fire emblem Game i’ve played in My life, congratulations Mycahel and your team.
Also…would You like for me to make a guide of the Game? Like they gamefaqs ones?
Also…could somebody name and explain every ability from this Game? It would be perfect for research
Hey i am just confused Grey has two supports with a falcon and a mage knight. Do we get those units? Who are they? I just don’t want to use him if I didn’t build a support unit for him this time. I’m not seeing them in the recruitment guide.
Damn. This game makes Engage look like a romhack.
Great writing, great concepts for gameplay, actual characters, great war crimes, and an actual route split.
Summary
I’ve only gotten the D Ending so far on Noir’s Route, so my criticisms are probably already articulated way better by someone else here. So anyways, here are my opinions on some of the characters I used:
-
Hermes - Easily my favorite character from the supports alone. His overall performance was also great, especially when he got the Fili Shield. I gave him Swiftsoles, so he was easily my most mobile unit. I often use him as a ballistic missile by warping him with Oliver; He would then vaporize a siege tome user with the canto axe and retreat to safety. I used him to kill Lilia in CH17 for the warp staff—I should’ve just used Hiryu to steal the warp staff in hindsight, but blowing Lilia up was way funnier.
-
Oliver - The kid turned out to be a way better character than I thought. I almost feel sorry for reloading a savestate after using an Augury (free child labour lol). As a unit, he did his job as a staffbot. Mia had better Res and Mithra had movement, but I always found myself using Oliver anyways. I ended up promoting him to Messiah so I can spam Purge with him and Isaac on the boss in Ex 1.
-
Isaac - He was a character I only started training at CH20 when I realized I needed someone that can use Luxterra and Purge that wasn’t Oliver (he only had C skill on light tomes at the time). I ended up never using Luxterra, but Purge was vital in the late game—especially in Ex 1.
-
Sei - Double Goggles Eclipse Sei my beloved. She has the amazing personality trait that is being able to summon phantoms. She was easily my MVP in Ex 1. I ended up never using Lucifer Comet though, Phantoms are just way better man.
-
Zero - This guy is a character you’ll either love or hate and I appreciate what he brings to the game. I never really used Crescent over him, so he was my only bow user on the team. The highlight of his Isekai Career was easily in CH16 wherein he assasinated JFK—I mean Vert by sniping him with the ballista as soon as he warped back to his throne. It’s a story that Zero’s grandchildren will probably hear everytime they come visit.
-
Rose - She fulfilled a similar role to Hermes in that I can send her off on solo missions. Having an unbreakable prf that gets stronger overtime is such a great gimmick; Poor Jin never stood a chance.
-
Noir and Schwarze - The lords were such a pain to lug around in the earlygame. Their horrible survivability certainly didn’t help. Noir eventually became the broken lord every FE game has, whereas Schwarze only provided support for my siege tome users and only saw combat when he needed to; he got strong at the late game, but I just felt more comfortable sending Noir out on the frontlines (that and she had Swiftsoles and therefore could actually get out there in the battlefield).
Some honorable mentions are Mia, for being the second staffbot. Cecil, for not getting rng screwed like Josephine. Angel, for helping Zero no-scope Vert and assist Sei in landing Eclipse on the two bosses in EX1 with her Skill-boosting ring. And Hiryu, for being able to steal unlike a certain someone.
Definitely one of the best FEs I have played.
By S-Tier Tome do you mean we get a second Diraigeki?
No,
Summary
Mercer drops Excalibur/whatever the S-rank wind tome is called.
Summary
It’s called Quetzal iirc
I want to know if anyone else is in the same situation as me where Rose’s sword doesn’t evolve, and I want to know why, I can’t find a solution
Has anyone had an issue where ch 15 pt 1 crashes as soon as the dialogue is over and you “should” enter the prep menu? I hear the cursor movement sound repeating rapidly(5x per second maybe). When I try to move the cursor around, I can see an info box pop up say I’m on a peak/plain/forest. After ~2s of that, the screen either goes black or is pixelated. Audio gets really loud and freaks out and the game crashes.
I had save states from ch 13/14 which I’ve reloaded, but the game continues to crash at ch 15 pt1.
I’ve tried this on mGBA and VisualBoyAdvance-M just in case it happened to be an emulator problem, but the issue persists.
That’s usually caused by trash unit data being in a selected preps slot. Idk if FEBuilder will let you REMU arbitrarily but that would fix it
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ve never used FEBuilder before so I continued to try to brute force my way through it lol. After another 30min or so, I got the cursor onto the map. In the few seconds I was able to move the cursor before it crashed, I found Mithra and was able to hit (L/R i forget which) to switch to my units on the actual map. Now onto Ch 18
It was actually pretty funny. Mithra was just on the other side of the wall and in range of the armor knight with the javelin and drew its aggro so the mission obj was a bit easier to complete.
When do Shwarze and Noir promote to their 2nd tier classes? (No spoilers, only the chapters, please)
I’m rather far into the story and this game is supposed to have a 3 tier class system, so I would expect to actually have some time left to use the 3rd tier class on the MCs too.
They’re promoted to T2 by Chapter 14, which is less than halfway through.
Thanks for the answer! That’s good to know and yes, it seems reasonable.
I finished all routes…and really there’s no perfect ending, every ending has their pros and cons but they ones who left me with a better “mouth taste” was ending C (although The starting plan failed) and ending B (Although Schwarze in the end leaves the continent Even if they keep the secret of the Black weapon’s awakening)
I have some questions
1 which ending was your favourite and which ending do You feel was The “most complete” one
2 who is the true villain of all the plot? Or there were no Bad guy at all, just opposites
3 do You realize that You cannot tye all the loose ends in a single route? Annoying is it not? Or does it makes You treasure everything a single route can offer?
1: All endings had some flaws to it. I would say ending B is my favourite. It embodies the theme of the story: compromise. Everyone had to sacrifice something on a moral or practical level to accomodate the magnitude of their common goal: Peace in Lumae.
2: Oh Layton all the way. He was the primary instigator for all the events of the story, either directy or indirectly. Plus unlike Vert, his motivations are mostly tied to fear of death.
3: Yes. But the issues lie with execution. Some things you find out in such a second (or even third) handed way that even if you do find it, it kills the investment in the story (Case and point the entire sub.plot of Drew and Crescent). Plus some routs to me are borderline unthinkable to follow…such as sticking with Vert or surrendering to Weissholt.
My honest thoughts on this hack? It’s one of my absolute favourites in terms of passion, scope and ambition. It has a unique cast of misfits, some interesting mechanics both in terms of maps and units and a compelling story. It’s also an absolute mess of a hack. It has a litany of bugs, some very uneven maps, weird-to-bad artwork in terms of sprites and mugs and some questionable gameplay choices in terms of both weapon design and skill distribution for the units. It’s perhaps the premier hack that would benefit from a major clean-up/overhaul to allow it’s positives to really shine bright. It’s, in a nutshell, a very rough diamond.
