Also, dropbox sometimes tends to not show the ādownloadā button until the page is completely loaded, so that could be the problem too. If thatās the case, let the page load for about a minute and everything should be alright.
Hello everyone! Thanks to Lucaser we found a glitch that makes you unable to progress, making chapter 18 crash at the beginning if you refuse to follow orders all the way back at chapter 6.
Yes, thatās one hell of a butterfly effect.
Anyway, aside from fixing that glitch, the patch also contains many of the tier-3 classes (Although they are still mostly unavailable), and an updated version of chapter 12 using ZoramineFaeās desert bastion tileset.
Is hermes not supposed to be able to traverse the peaks in ch2? he was able to in the last patch
Well⦠thatās really strange. Crossing the peaks was a huge part of the design for that map. Iām going to have to check that. Thanks for the notification.
EDIT: While setting up the movement for T3 units, at some point it seems I changed the peak tile movement cost to 255. Whoops.

Hi everyone! A new patch has been released. It is the final polish patch before FEE3, meaning I can now start working on new chapters.
Along with what was included in the previous patches, hereās what has been updated:

All tier 3 classes have been implemented, with proper animations. However, they are mostly inacessible right now.

Several animations, such as the soldier and Berserker, have been updated as well. Credits to Flasuban and DerTheVaporeon.

Some custom game over screens have been updated. Have a nice death, Schwarze!

A new animation for Noirās ultimate weapon has been included as well (Instead of the default Nafglar):
(That berserker is SUPER dead. Credits to OriharaSaki for the Svartrblade animation at the end.) -
Dialogue was streamlined a little; there is now roughly one line less of dialogue for every storyline conversation, without actually affecting the plot.

ā¦That is, getting addicted to and failing at pokemon nuzlockes. Ahem. Anyway, the point is that Iām working again on the hack as much as usual, so, big finale update probably coming next month!
Also, itās 1:00 AM where I live, meaning itās officially my birthday! Because of that, Iād like to show a draft for one of the concepts that I have for the next map:
Details
The map is divided into two phases:
Phase 1, you stomp on a group of underleveled vigilantes and casually bump into a hostage situation. The only actual challenge here is that, when you open the room with the hostage, you will get a warning. If you get any closer, the boss will aggro, so ending the turn before defeating the boss might actually get the hostage killed.
Once itās over, you have a nice chat with the guy, then night falls and you get ambushed by a pretty strong geomancer (STR Druid equipped with quake). This initiates phase 2. Everything from this point is spoilers e.e
Also, this is the last āGuaranteedā chapter. From this point on, the game splits into two different main paths, and each of them splits further depending on the choices you made all the way back, resulting in a lot of possible endings!

ATM I donāt think you can promote anyone to 3rd tier (Iāve done only one route so Iām not sure) but youāll be able when the new chapter will be released and as of now I think the last chapter is chap 24!

ā¦Actually, the reason Iām uploading is because I found a bug where I somehow deleted all the terrain effects, so fighting in a forest is the same as fighting in a plain.
Good thing this is the beta, right? I mean, could you imagine if I sent a version with this bug to FEE3? THAT would have been embarassing, ha, ha⦠haā¦

Hello again. A new patch has been released.
It contains chapters 25 and 26-A, but in truth the main reason for this release is to fix several bugs, like the aforementioned terrain bonuses.
To answer previous questions: Units can promote to Tier 3 by using a late-game item known as āRune Shardsā. They are quite rare, and it doesnāt work on either of the protagonists since they need a special, different item. Of course, the hack is not yet completed, but the release of these two chapters means T3 units are now fully playable! (Remember to rename your saves to match the ROM, or they wonāt be read).
EDIT: Please remember to report any bugs that are not in the āKnown Bugsā section.
