Actually i think Palla may be stuck and unrecruitable because she starts on the water. I’ll still change it on the offchance i’m wrong and its actually just river tiles which marth can traverse.

@Donlot Now that you say that, I really like the idea of Catria as a keyblade wielder. Give her Oathkeeper if you can do it and, as a new change to her, give her a bridal outfit similar to Caeda’s from the Bridal Blessings banner in Heroes
Is oathbreaker a specific keysword? Could you please send a link? Been a while since i played Kingdom Hearts.
If she has an already made picture of her in a bridal outfit i could use her head there for a Portrait, but i still haven’t gone and actually tried portrait editing, so im not quite sure if it’d even work, no guarantees i’ll get it in. And she definitely wouldn’t have talking/blinking frames.
If you mean animation editing then sorry, that stuff is beyond nightmare. At most i could give her the animation of another class.

Does it have any special strenghts or weaknesses? What stats should i give the sword?
Well, in the games, it increases the power of your magic and summons and in KH1 it gives you +9 strength, so let’s go with 9 mt and have it be a magic weapon if that’s a thing you can do in FE11. Along with that, give it 95 hit and 0 crit with 40 uses.
You know what I’ve noticed? Sages and Sorcerers have the same stat caps. That’s lame, so I’ll change that:

Stat caps:
Sages get -1 Skill, +3 Speed.
Sorcerers get -1 Skill, +1 Speed/Def/Res. -
Class Growths (for playable characters):
Sages go from 20% Speed to 25%, and from 20% Def to 15%.
Sorcerers go from 20% Skill to 5%, and from -15% Def to 0%. -
Class Growths (for generic enemies):
Sorcerers swap their Skill and Def growths.
If that counts as only one change, the second one will be that whatever cavalry class got a crit bonus is also weak to dragon effective weapons.
Let’s make Darros Dart from fe7 giving him Darts Personal Growths and portrait(if possible) and his starting inventory will be the vouge axe from fe5 and make it his prf weapon with 50 uses.
My next edit you should make Julian a Soldier starting out with a ridersbane and then making all ridersbanes effective against magic users and to make things easier maybe changing the name of the ridersbane to magebane and lowering its weight to 6 and boost the hit to 75%.

Ridersbane already got edited sorry. Regarding new items you know how it is, i’ll do it at the end and we’ll see if it works.
Also, does fe7 actually have personal growths or did you mean add darts growths as darros’ personal growths?
That aside item edits are seperate edits. I know i didn’t really specify what type of edit counts as what, but i’ll be noting it when i do another pme in the future, and have a bit more knowledge with what’s actually possible.
Here’s two more edits. One’s a lot simpler than the other, so I’ll start with that one.
- Elice is a Level 15 Bishop with her vanilla 20/15 averages, and B tomes. She can join with Bolagnone to show that off.
- Maria is a prepromoted level 1 Dracoknight with an additional 30% to her personal Strength growth and an additional 5% to her Skill and Speed. In addition, her bases are the same as Minerva’s vanilla bases with her Strength and Defense swapped. Since both her siblings are usually Dracoknights, she might as well be one too.
By the way can you give Palla a C sword rank and Radd a longbow as well a C bow rank.
Ah okay thanks for telling me and yeah his growths for Darros’ personal growths. And if you can give him the vouge that’s be great! If not that’s okay.
Good news guys, i’m currently figuring out all the stuff i was unsure if i can edit. I’ll edit this post as i learn new things.
Text Editing (WORKS)
As you can see here, I can change strings, but as flasuban mentioned they can’t be longer than they were originally, but they can be smaller by just using spacebar. Marth has 5 letters, so that’s the max size i can change it to. I wonder how FE Builder’s “Allocate bytes” function works? Probably too complicated for me but it might be able to be used for DSFE too.
Text editing is probably the most fun thing with this so far. I’ll hide a few easter eggs somewhere in the text. When its finished lemme know if any of you stumble upon them while playing, especially if they made you laugh.
Portrait Editing (Works somewhat)
There are 2 different types of portrait editing you can do, changing the portrait files in the f folder, basically switching them out. This will make them appear in cutscenes but not on the map. And they also seem to still use their old character’s blinking/talking frames.
The other way is to just use Nightmare to point the Map Portrait and Name data somewhere else, this makes it work in gameplay but not during cutscenes.
I decided not to use the former just in case it bugs something out. I don’t really know what file format the portraits are in, so i can’t just open them, or add new ones. I know Hearts of Iron 4 used .TGA files for their portraits, since they save on space compared to .PNG. So that could be a possibility. Tried changing the file extention and putting it into gimp, which i’m pretty sure takes tga files. Didn’t work, it doesn’t seem to be compressed either according to BatchLZ77. No idea what’s going on here.
Adding new items (Impossible)
Dear god, i’ve been playing around with this for the last few hours and its come to basically no fruition. I did find out that an item uses 60 bytes. I was able to find both the ID and description in en_system, and thanks to nightmare i was able to find the pointers to them in the database file which has all the data. Problem?
This is the data for items, bullion s in this example, it just gives you data pointers, but i have no idea how these data pointers get determined. At first i assumed they just straight up point towards the offset (position) of the text string, but no.
I can however still edit already existing items. I’ll see what i can do with that
playable soldier, pretty hype
