[FE8][WIP][27 Chapters][+14 Gaidens] Fire Emblem: Restoration Army (Attempt 3)

This is not a huge patch in terms of new content but does include a lot changes to the game. I was going to wait until I finished all the new content, but I got busy with moving and work soooo those things are still in progress. As a result most of these changes are to classes and units. These notes may contain some older changes that I didnt document before.

Patch Notes:
General Stuff

  • All the player unit palettes are done. Every unit should have a custom palette for every class, promotion and secret class they have access to. This took forever.
  • The avoid formal was changed to make speed not as impactful for dodging enemies. This mostly changes the gameplay of the route spilt chapters

Chapter Changes

  • Chapter 0 has less reinforcements
  • Chapter 2 has Gus join by default and cuts the recruitment section of the chapter. The map of the chapter has been tweaked
  • Chapter 3 has had ai changes and enemy healers added

Classes

  • Two new player exclusive classes, Vidame (flying troubadour), Sky Knight (flying archer).
  • New Oracle class, which is a skill skill light magic user who enables others to crit
  • Boxers have been reworked (skills and stats). Additionally fists weapons are slightly lighter and hit less hard.
  • Princess Class gains anima on promotion
  • Mage skills have been changed to battle blow and Glacies
  • Base stats of a bunch of tier 2 melee classes have been increased. Along with some caps.
  • Many tier 0 classes have different promotions (erin can promote to peg knight, colin gives you the choice of magic type, Ginger can be a cavalier or a devout now)
  • Merged the arbalist and the Cranquineer into one class

Units ( Most characters have had tweaked stats/growths. I’ll highlight the significant ones below)

  • Volca is recruitable!
  • Percy now is a unit who procs skills. He’s fun if you want to go gambling.
  • Harmon is a Sky Knight who can attack from range and the canto+ away. (also recruited alongside harper)
  • Zuri is an extremely late game trainee (new trainee :tada:)
    Nidori has Nihil now
  • Farrel has access to Capture and starts as a Chevalier rather than a Griffon Rider
  • Eris is a flying troubador :slightly_smiling_face:
  • Oscar, Finn, Jala, and Ansell have randomly rolled classes. For Finn and Jala only when you encounter them a second time. If they already had random classes before they now have an additional random class.
  • Keyla is now a halberdier
  • Elisabeth portrait change
  • Alez, Ithax, Cassidy, Hannibal, and Lysabel were removed from the game. As units they didn’t provided unique enough niches to keep them, and I had more interesting ideas that will likely be implemented next patch.

Plot stuff

  • A bunch of new dialogue scattered all over the place (some of it causes a weird plot moment in R Ch14 since I will be replacing that chapter with one still in testing)

Last but not least the guide should be fully updated. There are some minor changes not described here that are present there.
