I feel like I owe you an apology for the absolute clusterfuck that apparently is Hard Mode, because yeah, the game is balanced around Normal and I must simply have forgotten to include that in the post about this hack. Based on previous feedback I didn’t realise the balancing on Hard Mode was THIS bad hence why it wasn’t a priority to remove it, but after reading this it’s become clear Hard Mode needs to go. I have uploaded a new patch with the difficulty select removed so it will default to the much more balanced Normal Mode (so if you feel like the hack would be otherwise fun I do encourage restarting, but absolutely no pressure if you’d rather stop playing!). Again, apologies for the bad taste in your mouth and thank you for taking the time to let us know!
To briefly address the other things, yes, the cast are using their Japanese names as that was the version myself and the other team members have watched. Seeing as there are some rather drastic differences between the Japanese original and English dub (or so I have heard!), it might be fair to specify the hack is based off the Japanese version!
I’ll have a look at some point about adding those quality of life improvements you mentioned, as they would indeed be pretty neat.
Thanks for the compliments on the art and writing, as the person who wrote the story it is nice to hear the writing has resonated with you!

Hi! Thanks for the interest in the hack! Rest assured, progress on the hack is happening, slowly but surely! We would be grateful for any playtesting and feedback 
(Although officially the current version of the hack is done up until chapter 12x, chapters 13, 14, and 15 have been added to the most current patch as well. But I’ve been hesitant to make an official announcement about this because we’ve encountered a bug that causes the drums not to work in some of the new songs we’ve added. I really hope to have this fixed so any potential players get to experience the songs in their full potential!)

Hi! It’s been a while, but I wanted to announce that I’ve uploaded a new patch to the Google Drive with three new chapters (chapters 13, 14, and 15) added to the game!
Progress has been a bit slow, as my interest in hacking comes and goes a bit and this is just one of the creative projects I’m working on. But, as long as working on this project is fun (and trust me, it is!), I’ll keep on hacking!
To fill you in briefly on what is currently being worked on: chapter 16 is almost done, just needs a bit more play-testing to fine tune things. I’ve also finished implementing things for chapter 17, and now just need to test everything to make sure it’s working as intended. The story for chapter 18 has been written, so now it’s just a matter of implementing the game play elements for this chapter.
