[FE8] Sacred Redux v2.5.3 [COMPLETE]

I replayed the game because my previous playthrough was very glitchy when I engaged any unit in combat with Riev. It always softlocked my game. Anyway, I don’t seem to encounter that glitch again.

All the playable units are pretty well-balanced (Way better balanced than vanilla) and I really liked the concept of making playable monsters. I really look forward to see how much demon king has changed.

My only criticism is that Riev is offense-wise severely broken. He has Hawkeye, meaning he will always hit with his astonishingly high magic. But he really doesn’t need his magic because he will always kill thanks to his 100% lethality and Rightful Arch. Without Hoplon Shield or a Veteran, It’s impossible to defeat him without loosing units. He literally means “I can kill anything”. Its hilarious when you get him in post-game. He is like a guaranteed killing button.

Noted! He’s designed to only really be engaged with Nihil. Which you get on Seth, Myrrh and Eirika. But I get what you mean, I’ll switch it to Bane like with the demon king.

I’m stuck on ch9 ephraims route because of a purge enemy that 2-3 rounds tana

Ah okay, I’ll alter that a bit. Bringing Gilliam along to provoke him helps, or rush with Seth equipped with a steel bow or short spear.

Edit: I’ve updated the patch, which changes his placement. So updating your patch should fix this problem.

Replaying this game again because the altered caps and unbreakable weapons are fun…

This time I’m using L’Archel and I noticed that if you promote her then there is no sword animation. Wouldn’t it be good just to replace her sword with a light tome ? There are already two Prf defense negating swords but no Prf unbreakable light tome.

could add the number of damage that shows on the screen and the activated skills and take or upgrade the stealing skill that only works with thieves so much as it is not possible to use steal+ , sorry for the english, it’s not my language.

That’s a good idea actually. I’ll see if I can find some space to add a new magic animation.

EDIT: I found that its one or the other, I love the tome idea but she has no unpromoted animation for it. But I’ll still do it!

And lol, yeah he is tough for sure. I get nervous turn 1 sometimes because if I don’t kill him immediately he is 1000% offing someone on the squad.

That’s a much newer patch then when I finished this hack. I could see if I could add it though. And steal+ only works on rogues I think, so that’s why I took it off thieves/colm.

Bug report : Titania’s description says that it fully heals adjacent allies but it only healed 10 Hp.

Does capture do anything? I tried to use it but im not sure what its supposed to do really. It gave me a red colored rescue unit and lowered my stats, and dropping it just makes it disappear. No new units in the party after map clear.

Also are there even any dragon veins in the game for the dragon blood skill?

When you capture an enemy, you can trade to get their items, they don’t join at the next chapter.

I see, thanks! It would be cool if some of these skills were better explained on the doc.

I’m also a bit confused about Steal+; im not sure if I’m doing something wrong but I can’t steal enemy unequipped items with Rennac even when my con > wt like it says in the description.

Edit: He got berserked in one map and stole an enemy’s weapon but when he wasn’t berserked he couldn’t steal that same item.

Maybe Rennac is slower than the enemy he is trying to steal from?

And capturing is how it was in Thracia 776 instead of Fates, so just wanted to let you know about that.

Sorry for the confusion. I used the in-game explanations in the docs, but I see where the confusion is coming from. I’ll extend the explanations on the doc.

MageHero21 pretty much answered your questions. Capture allows you to trade with the enemy you’re holding just like a rescued ally. The only condition to use it is that your CON needs to be higher than the enemy’s CON. And Steal+ requires you to be faster AND meet the CON > weight condition.

I can’t seem to figure out how to interact with Galahad after talking to him with my lord. I saw that someone else was also having this issue and was wondering if it was ever addressed.

So i start the hack get to chapter 3 and colm bring wepon he cant use


Had the same problem, turns out the dagger and the thief’s dagger have their weapon levels swapped

Not 100% sure what is causing this. I did a bit of a fast patch to the event. But I won’t have time to test it until this weekend, just thinking that it should work.

EDIT: So it didn’t work, but luckily I did manage to fix it and test it. It should work now. Simply update the patch.

Aeroponce had it right, had the weapon ranks mixed. Fixed that and updated the patch.
