[FE8] Sacred Redux v2.5.3 [COMPLETE]

I think the game is finished.

I haven’t been working on it as actively as before. Been focusing on another project and life events for the most part. But I come back to it whenever I have the time to try to balance out the end game a bit more.

Are you planning to add some non OC recruitables? Like maybe Hayden, Selena or Glen, during the main game? (Or maybe Orson? A man can dream…)

This hack is really cool though, and the OCs are quite likeable.

I guess, you’re talking about Selena. Cecilia isn’t in this game.

Hi. Enjoying the hack so far and like what youve done to mix things up. some pretty interesting changes. but a problem I’ve run into is that when ever I try to use a promotion item like, the adis band, it crashes my game and Im not sure why. Ive tried while on the map and while in a chapter and both results in crashes.

That’s not supposed to happen. I found that in does crash in the chapter, but it should not in the “manage items” menu on the world map. I dropped a new update today so maybe try updating and seeing if that fixes it.

In the meantime, do you mind providing me with some more details. Like who you are promoting? Which promotion item? And what point in the game you are in so that I can look into it now.

Unfortunately, I cannot. I’ve run out of space on the rom. And because those characters die cannonically I’d have to make a few more changes than just adding a unit in order to properly incorporate them into the story, like changing scripts, events, etc.

Personally, I like that they die because it makes it feel real, like good and misguided people do die in war.

Sure, Id be glad to provide more. I am currently on chp 7. The promotion item is the adis band, the item replacing the guiding ring I assume. I’ve tried using it on several units such as a lvl 20 Lute, lvl 20 Natasha, and lvl 12 Moulder. Ive tested it on each unit in both the over world map and the chp 7 prep screen itself. Once I use the item the screen goes to black as if about to show the promo animation but then crashes after a second or two. I know not to use it during the chapter but wanted to try anyway and all the happens is that it leads to the crash happening a bit faster once the screen goes black

I will try the new patch tomorrow when I have more time/get the chance to and see if that changes anything.

So I’m on the final chapter of the game and I ran into a problem that being that if end my turn nothing happens and the enemy phase doesn’t start.

Okay, that would be a new glitch. I’ll take a look at it. Can I ask what emulator you’re using btw. Might have something to do with it too.

Okay, that may be the reason for it, I’ve looked at the script for the chapter and everything looks good and there’s been no issues on my tests. As I understand it I think different emulators can cause different glitches, and I worked on this mod using the VBA and VBA-M emulators.

If you want to PM me your save file I can test it? Cause it could be the emulator or some specific conditions causing it that I can’t replicate myself.

Yeah, I think that’s caused by vengeance procing, I removed that skill from Heroes because of that. I just overlooked that when editing the arena pool. It’s been fixed and updated.

What are all the obtainible items in the library? I am in there and dont wanna miss anything.

Answer:

-Lute gets the Aircalibur, Hail, Bolganone and Quake tomes.
-Artur gets the Artemis, and Witness Tomes.
-There should be dialogue for both when you get all of their tomes.
-There’s a Secret Book in there that anyone can get by step on a tile in the bottom most row of books.
-Gilliam gets a skill by “searching” one of the right pillars.
