whyyyy

Ok so for my 98% lunatic reverse run it is finally time to recruit my final hidden character, Kyrie, and despite visiting the village with staffs that have 6, 3, and 2 durability they aren’t recruiting.
Do they recruit after the chapter? Or do i need more specific items to trigger their recruit.

I just had the wrong item order nvm

Spent the last 9 days playing this. Thanks for the hack! Overall enjoyed although kind of wish there was thorough guide somewhere. I did see MageHero posted with much but still not all info. For example

support boosts

Such as Hilbert able to learn Dark, or apparently some item for Blair.

Played blind (missed several things that were pointed out to me after the fact in FEU discord), Hard, but not ironman. Yay for save points, many resets were done. No modifiers used.

General feedback

Pros:

  • Lots of move tech
  • 5 mov armor
  • Base feature
  • Prep armory changing stock and special deals
  • Non-rng skills (Other than despoil)
  • Custom t1 class caps instead of 20 global.
  • View convoy when full inventory QoL (first hack ive seen with it)
  • Mugs change on promotion is very col
  • Combine items QoL
  • Less-OP Steal+
  • Reasonable secret shop hints
  • Warning for not checking Base
  • Changed, and imo better Fog of War mechanics vs vanilla
  • Almost every item is sellable. Including Prfs
  • Modifier options and NG+
  • Self-repairing S ranks. I want to see this in more hacks!
  • Some really fun, if a bit overpowered but late held items.

Neutral:
Turn count, I don’t trust all of the 1s though, something weird

Pretty sure ChIV was my most-reset chapter.

  • Mixed feelings on Virdian. On one hand I get the “missed skills” right before end, on the other I feel it was a bait and switch. Sent my worst units as scouts, would’ve loved a Provoke Paladin for main team.
  • Torch Staff. From View Map I could see it wasn’t likely to be relevant but was able to afford it. Shame it didn’t act as a single use permanent-light-rune staff.
  • As is often the case for me, ended the game with many unsure “good” items and remaining durability on the ones I started to use. For example full Hammerne, several spare brave and Master Weapons.
  • Pretty much everything has higher hit rate. On one hand leads to less frustration, on the other makes dodge tanking very unrelaible where even possible.
  • No split promos

Cons:

  • 5 mov generals
  • No warning to check for Bargains
  • Several missable, significant things without any hint
  • Yuyu isn’t practical to levelup. Someone on discord mentioned she gets a Prf but never found it. Ladymace is eh.
  • Ian troll. Funny enough, Master Seal shows preview of same class promotion instead of “no promotion”.
  • Voulche is OP. No idea if doable but would be better for AI to truly ignore unit instead of just chase but not attack. Makes things very cheesable.
  • Troll chest in ch4.
  • Journal entry for “Level Up skills” isn’t alphabetical
Oddities and/or Bugs
  • Annihilation Tome is missing “unsteablable” text.
  • May be due to emulator, but a few times I got softlock or error message. Happened mostly on Ch9 and 14:

Was told something about “you need bios” shrug but never ran into this before this rom, and was able to play anyway.
  • Ch14 turn 4 two reds appear in SE corner and talk, but dont have mugs
  • List function broke for me starting at ch19. no longer would it display all items in all inventories/convoy but instead just inventories of first 3-4 units. Maybe due to sheer number.
  • Ch9, turn 16 a pirate spawns with Horselayer. Probably wrong inventory instead of meant to be Mug target? iirc one would need to use body ring and promote to have enough Con at that point, if even enough.
  • Ch27 Pretty sure “Understimation” when going water-route should be “Underestimation”
  • Skills that consume durability work even if remaining value isn’t high enough. For example Aether with a 5-durability bow.
Questions

*I forgot the chapter number, but was wondering, on the defend map with sniper king fellow, first Boots, Knight Ring, Rainbow Gem to steal… Is it possible to take Boss tome via Silence or is it either too-heavy or unstealabe? I only had realized later it unequips magic weapons whereas sadly but understandably Sleep doesn’t for normal.

  • Should maybe Ch 18/24 have the “no minimap for the chapter” patch?
    This text will be hidden
Units. Rambly thoughts on ones I found noteworthy
  • Blair. Lord is lord. Hopesinger is cool even if late.
  • Zeke. Meant to make him into a main-gauch-er, but didn’t hit S rank swords by the end. Funny prf lance anyway although didn’t actually end up using it. Bow(s) for high avoid is nice
  • Kenneth. All around great for me. Luna mostly was just used early given that weapon arts dont double.
  • Jeff. Gave him a Canto scroll. Glass-cannon-y, but Mug utility. Quick Riposte is a waste though, wish he learned something else.
  • Hilbert. Another fantastic all around unit. Sol also helps sustain “solo missions” deep into enemy territory. Earth Power just made him even better.
  • Tossdworth. A little frail, but Canto+ is nice, and he got the 2 boots I was able to save. Had I known, would’ve gotten third too mostly likely.
  • Stefan. Better early on, relatively to my other units, once I got past initial training hurdle. Adept is nice if again a little niche, Knight Aspirant is nice. Wound up with Main Gauche once I got it.
  • Sam. Amazing utility. I love Aim. Barely used Sure shot. Gave her Flow State which only helps more. Frail but doesnt matter.
  • Emile. Staffer utility. Try as I might just not good in combat. +3 range is very cool for the two unbreakable staves tho, but also lets things like Yoink get range 7.
  • Sveltzalus. to me, MVP. Flying, canto+, Alacrity, unbreakable weapon, and evnetually given Sol. between 35 spd and 30 luk, very evasive and then only moreso with Memento. Would be sent solo to hold an entire side.
  • Peggy. at 366 rounds saw the msot combat. Provoke already makes her MVP. Swarp awesome utility. Funny staff allows for some cases of fast xp. By the end I gave her Ardent March to pair with Morning Glory, but even dual crits couldn’t orko most.
  • Flynn. Wish he was just a little better. Although did find out I missed a promo for him. Astra, crit and brave lion all nice just felt lacking in oomph.
  • Johan. Est unit. Resolve + Wrath, even without Vantage goes eally hard.
  • Ptolemy. My other personal-mvp unit. Pleasantly supervised at promo although a part of me wishes they joined earlier in story. good and self-repair prfs… Also could get pretty silly with Resolve, Wrath (gave them a scroll) and Caduceus.
  • Arin. Again missed promo, but even as a Trickster, + some stat boosters was able to stay relevant. Move tech utility. Rallybot. Sometimes Steal. Got my other Canto scroll.
  • Yuyu. Spent last few maps as a dancer copy. Very fun unit.
  • Tonnamin. Late join, but prf axe is fun.
  • Alexis. Press Turn rules.
  • Horatio. My first combat unit to 20/20, and capped everything but hp at that… but missed Summon event. Nice prf at least.
  • Ian - looked promising and got them to unexpected levelcap of 18. a little salty.
  • Mikey. Looked promising, but just ended up having better options.
  • Desmond. Early Jaigen or sorts, move tech utility. Missed promo.
  • Agnes - Meme-ish unit. Kind of wish Parry worked on PP too. Funny anyway but barely used.
  • Cassius. Solid all a round other than res, but just had better optiosn eventually.
  • Josef. Surprisingly useful early via sheer def, despoil isnt really practical though.
  • Bladamir. Funny promotion. Would use in team on a replay/10
  • Rose - Missed special promo. Not a fan of the base growths anyway. Shop is cool utility though and had to go wrong with Paragon.
  • Laronde - Paragon, solid stats and move-tech-king. Didn’t see use but cool unit.
  • Of the Virdian units I didn’t save, only one that really stands out to me is Deep Pocket soldier. Cool unit.

How do you unlock this? (no cap mode)

Beat the game and start a new run, then it shouls say “clear data detected” and let you enable the funnies

I funny bug I found is that if you berserk the sniper with the biased quiver on the final map, the warrior and berserker near it will act berserked as well

Where do you find the members card?

I think you should give Peggy war cleric axe animation

Finished Viridian arc and I feel the sudden urge to cry because I totally didn’t get attached to the crew in the slightest nope nope nope

I forgot to use both Desmond and Flynn so I didn’t managed to get them to B support in chapter 20, can I still get them to B+ for the secret promo ?

Sadly thats a no

This is so interesting and I really want to play it but I don’t know how, can someone teach me how to patch this game file? I usually just play the ones with ups extensions but why does this file don’t have an extension? T.T I’m still new in patching

But the patch does have .ups extension.

Hey does Ian ever get promoted? I maxed out all his stats but the cap is 19 and none of the promotion items are working. Is he just a meme character about the child soldier gimmick in Fire Emblem?

Just finished the game, this along with Cerulean’s Crescent are 2 of my favorite rom hacks of all time! The overall game mechanic took a while to get adjusted to but I had a really good time playing this, will definitely play again and get all the secrets!

Sidenote: Carbon with Biased Quiver is absolutely broken, armed with a Master Bow he straight up ORKO all most everything barring the final boss then canto+ to safety!

I believe he’s just a troll unit meant to fool people into investing in him lmao.
