[FE8] Fire Emblem: The Morrow's Golden Country [COMPLETE]

Reclass?

Yeah im playing with reclass on for this second playthrough/challenge run, and so sam now has the versatility of bow general paired with the speed and luck of her growths
Also slight edit to challenge run: all characters except agnes because i missed her and shes useless on lunatic reverse, she would probably just sit on my bench if i did get her
Slight edit part 2:
I never saw that agnes had parry and immediately wrote her off because of this on my first run, and also still unlocked her (i thought i only got her if cid lived, but she must have some other condition)

Follow up question. Is reclass a new game plus option or something? Im still doing my first run (very slowly)

Currently on chapter 17 and loving this game. Truly my favorite hack I have ever played so far and I can’t imagine that changing. I was wondering if there are any particular supports with really good rewards/boosts for said characters? I know Horatio and Simone but don’t want to miss any other big ones

Yeah reclass is ng+, among many other options

So what exactly does press turn mode do?

So I have a question about how supports work in this game. I understand the mechanic but was confused on if it works in the same way as most others, where you can only do 5 support talks total over all the characters (Like usually in other games 3 with one, and only 2 with another type of stuff but with this games mechanics) and if I can support with any I want can I only max out one?

Yeah you get 5 people to suport, but you can get them all as high as possible (except for romantic A ranks that lock you out of alternatives)

I would like to issue a formal apology to agnes. On my first run i took one look at her dogwater defenses and immediately wrote her off as bad, but in reality, she might be one of the best units in the game once she gets some stat boosters. While i overlooked it on run 1, you can get a ridiculous amount of secret books and opistus icons from secret shops, and lategame they offer all the stat boosters, and so by going a little light on weapons i could afford to max agnes’s skill and make her an invincible juggernaut right after the first set of side chapters. Agnes is a massive investment, but one that pays off in the end. Also on this run i decided to Cassius all over my foes and hes pretty good too. Really just goes to show that Retina is the goat and that in tmgc there are no bad units, only ones you dont invest in and ones you do

Functionally, it treats every unit on both sides as if they have Alexis’s Press Turn skill. That is, all units can get extra turns by exploiting the weapon triangle.

Thank you very much

Her skill is awesome. A whole mode like that sounds fun

I just finished my third playthrough of the game, and it was highly enjoyable. I rarely play the same game twice, but there’s so much content (secrets/events) that you’d naturally miss out on during your initial playthrough that you would want to unlock on your next one. However, it does take quite some searching for the event triggers and such.

Conquest is my favorite game, so I love how each unit can be made to work, and how each character feels unique with the help of skills. The only criticism I have is that axe users tend to feel quite weak, however I think that’s only because in comparison every other weapon option is just absolutely stellar. Especially bows. Especially bows. Especially bows. But that may be just a bias in playstyle, regardless the game is very well balanced, at least on hard and lunatic.

Gameplay aside, the story was solid. I did shed a tear for a canon event that I won’t spoil, and I consider myself quite stoic. Support conversations were great. Music is great, especially after you unlock the jukebox.

10/10 would recommend.

On 22x right now, What item are they looking for to forge? also is there a complete list of hidden events?

The axe handle from chapter 14. It’s on the same place as the dragon

Hey y’all, been playing through the game and been having a great time, currently on Chapter 28 and close to finishing. I think I have encountered two bugs or a nested bug however. I got Sam to Level 20 on Chapter 27 and the stat bars under all the units (player/enemy) disappeared and only left the total number (including the bonuses from Caduceus; i.e. instead of 11 + 22 it was a flat 33). I didn’t think too much of it but then Johan the Chad decided to get stats beyond his stat caps.

Just wondering if this is something to be worried about for the rest of the game lol.

There’s a bonus mode unlockable for NG+ that disables stat caps - my guess is somehow the flag for that got enabled. It’s not entirely unheard of for emulators to sometimes enable flags erroneously, and it shouldn’t be a huge issue for the rest of your run (aside from some enemies possibly having slightly higher stats than intended via capbreaking).

Ah I see, thank you for clarifying. Does the flag also unintentionally remove the stat bars as well?

Are you sure that isn’t the stat growth screen? It looks that way to me. Press select in your keyboard (whatever it is, in my case it’s the L), just in case.
