Fantastic Game ![]()
Endgame was a little bit easy for Hardmode - but as you mentioned it isnt fully finished.
Greets
Peak hack, just waiting for that juicy 1.0 and unit palette updates.
major lategame spoilers, DO NOT OPEN UNTIL ENDGAME
Not many hacks have the guts to kill off a lord, so I’m impressed
Thanks for this marvellous hack.
I’ve reached chapter 30 and the game freezes before the chapter begins. Sometimes this message appears
“Unsupported bios function eb called from 03006310. A bios file is needed in order to get correct behaviour.”
Oh cool I guess I should have checked in a bit earlier for an update! Glad to see that there’s going to be a proper ending this update so I’m gonna migrate my V0.2 file over to this new one and play it when I can, even if I don’t remember what was happening last time.
Hi, interested in playing this.
You said its 98% complete? What is not complete? Am i able to play the game till the final chapter
loved the hack really good. cant wait for third tier classes. One issue im having is that on ch 27 game gets softlocked after Rei, i did kill the last boss so idk waiting on this to get fixed. And why dont basic sword, axe and lance give any wexp?
I am havingthe same experience. The game softlocked during the script part at the beginning of chapter 27
Hello Everyone!
Two years after releasing the first demo version, I am happy to finally release version 1.0 of Swords and Peace.
Ups Link.
This version can be played to the end, and also features a pretty cool postgame section. I hope you enjoy it!
I will say, there are likely still some problematic bugs throughout the game, and if you encounter any, I’m sorry!
This will definitely not be the last version I release, so if you want to wait for a more polished version, then I don’t blame you.
Happy new year!
Changes from V0.9

I don’t have anything resembling a complete change list, but here’s an uncomprehensive list.
-
A significant expansion of the post game, featuring new maps.
-
3 new supports, and a decent chunk of new talk/battle conversations.
-
A significantly reworked script. This does not mean sweeping plot changes (though there are some) but instead hundreds of small rewrites to the script, in an effort to overall raise the quality of writing.
-
I’ve removed the requirement to bring all units to all maps, though you can still do so if you choose. Though this somewhat hampers some of the themes and design decisions of the game, I ultimately think it’s for the better.
-
A number of maps have been given significant changes, to hopefully make them more balanced/fun.
-
Many items obtained over the course of the story have been replaced and switched around, to try and make inventory management more fun.
-
Plenty of rebalances to the units and the weapons.
-
There are a ton of new songs, spread out throughout the game. I also added unique battle and preparation themes for each map.
-
Made supports a little easier to get.
-
Likely many, many things I have forgotten.

I’m playing on hard mode and it’s waaaay too hard. I’m relying on crits and dodges way too much in the first 2 chapters. It took me 10 tries to beat the prologue and I’m stuck on chapter 1. It also doesn’t help when I restart the chapter the enemies have random increases or decreases in stats which is not fun. It said normal had enemy bugged stats or something so I assumed hard mode was the intended mode and by god it’s just too much. The made knight is super weak and I can’t ORKO anything even when I weaken them with the mage knight. What am I doing wrong???
Also quick question, do you intend to add anything substantial to the next update? Or just bug fixes and such? I’d hate to play when there’s bigger things coming for it I’d miss out since I have very little time to play nowadays. And also sorry if I came off as rude with my other comment. Just alittle frustrated but overall really enjoying what’s been presented so far! Love the dialogue, it’s very well done so far!
Hardstuck on CH6, Quartz just hits for 18 at 90%hit and our fresh cord and bord have abysmal 2-5 damage and 30-40%hitrate against him even after deliberately letting the 15 turns pass.
Playing on normal difficulty (the middle one)
Also i’m pretty sure Millia’s Prf Tome only heals after kill, not after combat as the tooltip says.
I’d say hard mode is the intended mode (it’s the one I was playing most of the time while playtesting) but normal and easy mode are both there for a reason. If you’re struggling with the first two chapters that much, I’d definitely recommend switching to an easier difficulty (Although chapter one isn’t made that much easier on normal or easy, which is something I should change). I will say, the bugged stats on normal might be worse than I thought, so easy might be safer.
The random stats thing is a quirk of how FE calculates stats, and I don’t think there’s a way of changing that, not without heavily reworking the game to fit within significant restrictions. I agree it’s unfortunate though. It’s fine to have that randomness in later maps, but it’s annoying in early game maps.
I will say, I don’t think the prologue or chapter 1 are very rng heavy. With the right strats, I believe the prologue can be beaten 100% of the time (I think so, anyway). Chapter one is probably impossible if you get the worst possible luck, but with even decently bad luck, I think it’s pretty consistent. After reading your comment I went and played through both maps on hard, and beat both on the first try, though I played it close with chapter one.
Some things to note with Anselle is that’s she’s very much a support unit. Heal + Powerstaff is ridiculously powerful, an she can use the extra turns to really help with positioning. She also has a very powerful rescue option, when you need to ferry away a weakened unit. Her combat is limited, but can be great chip here or there.
I’m not going to add anything substantial (probably!) as I already added everything I wanted to add. Most changes will be bugs/balancing. I might add some extra talk convos, or expand the postgame, or add a random personal weapon or something at some point, but there won’t be extra chapters or anything.
Don’t worry about the complaints, I get that frustration when I’m struggling with an FE map all the time.
Thanks for the feedback! I think the biggest obstacle for me is learning how to play with skills again lol I haven’t played an FE game with skills in a long while and I’m just not use to thinking about them tbh. But I think I’m getting the hang of how the game flows now. I’m on chapter 5x and I’m loving it so far! The difficulty (for me anyways) has stabilized some once I got some more recruits and figured out everybody’s strengths and weaknesses. I’ll definitely be playing this through now then since not much is needing to be added. If I have any more questions or run into bugs I’ll be sure to let you know!
I’m not sure if this was meant to happen, but my Kagney never was able to get a dark tome so has just been dead weight
Also, a question about a decision
What is the weapons Gallae can get in the chapter 11’s? Unless it’s the same in both, but the in game secret hints makes it sound like they’re different
There’s a shaman who drops a dark tome in the same chapter you recruit Kagney. Given that chapter is a route, you should’ve got the flux. Maybe you sent it to the convoy?
Question Answer
It’s the same weapon in both chapters. It’s the flayer axe that Blanche wields in chapter 6.
It’s not in my convoy, so I probably left it on someone I won’t be able to re-recruit until later and didn’t realize I had it. But, I just realized that this chapter has a preps armory, so it’s all good
Crash Report
I just got to chapter 20 on the newest patch and on turn 1 of Enemy phase the game crashes because of a level one male swordmaster who spawned of the map trying to move
