Just played my first round of it, took me 4 tries to escape the first chapter (and somehow everyone survived
) and with so much anxiety on these hit rates, I made it to chapter 4 deathless!.. Then silver lance cavaliers decided the run wasnāt for me, lost all but 4 units, and by the next chapter, I overextended my commander. I cannot stress this enough, I loved every second of this hack, and Iām already playing it again, thank you so much for your hard work!!
I just finished Iron Emblem and I have to say, it is one hell of an experience, and I really loved my time with it! I donāt have much else to say, since my thoughts are a little scattered right now, but I truly appreciate the effort put into it.
Also, hereās the dumbest unit I think I have had the pleasure of training, I love him (+9 Spd with a 15% growth⦠wack.)

hey, i am oblivious of how romhacking works and i really donāt know if this possible, but can you make namable the units without using unitbuilder?
am enjoying the hach anyway even without this feature
Glad you enjoyed! If you have any feedback Iād be happy to hear it so I could implement it in a particular future project. That armor also looks pretty ridiculous, I havenāt ever seen one with over 6 speed before. Seems he sacrificed most of his defense points for speed, though.

Best part about this hack is that the units are blank slates for me to rename every single one of them on FeBuilder with the names of my friends - the only thing worse than 24th Sqd 1 dying to a mage, is ma boy Walmir dying to a mage ![]()
Nothing new to say regarding my previous announcement.
However, this should be coming June 7th, the anniversary of the first release of Iron Emblem, along with some other stuff.

Itās intentional because thereās no point in forcing a gameover when restart and start new game are functionally identical.
So Iām really new to all this but I really want to play iron emblem but I donāt know even know how to download or emulate it could someone help me learn all this, please, and thank you for your time
Download a FE8 rom, just search for one on google and youāll find it. Then download the ā.upsā of the Iron Emblem patch, the link to it must be on the original post. Now you can download the NUPS patcher and use it to patch the .āupsā Iron Emblem patch to the ā.gbaā FE8 rom and BOOM, now you can play Iron Emblem on your emulator (Visual Boy Advanced is a good one).
I prefer to play on my phone, since the game boy was a handheld console after all, for that you can download an emulator and a rom patcher on Play Store (MyBoy and UniPatcher, respectively).
Hey, Iām planning a final update for the hard mode patch soon, and would love to hear feedback from people on what chapters should be adjusted and how! This is really important, since the patch wonāt be updated after this!
I played and finished this hack and WOW is it punishing on bad moves.
And that last chapter is unforgiving!
But overall, a test of your abilities. I lost 5 units total. 3 from the last chapter, 2 in one turn.

Got to the final chapter, and am confused on some details about how it works.
Final Chapter
I assumed it was supposed to be a game over if any unit entered the defend area in the upper right.
But I just saw one of the assassins enter and the map still continued
Is this supposed to be how it works? If it is, the details are unclear and not communicated well at all. Are all 6 assassins supposed to enter the area to activate a game over?
That aside, really like the hack overall, aside from the bizarre graphical errors I keep running into playing it on my flashcart.
The asssasins are a bug that will be fixed somewhat soon, hopefully. It has something to do with escaping and range events, but I think Iāve figured it out. Glad you enjoyed, and I think those graphical errors are just normal, if theyāre mostly in preps.
Itās probably just side effects of the names being so long.
Iāve updated Iron Emblem to v1.3! Hereās the changelog, I probably forgot some stuff that needed fixing so Iām open to doing a 1.3.1 or something of the sorts soon. Also still open to feedback on hard mode, let me know of any issues.
Changelog
BWL data is now correctly saved (and shown in the status screen)
Luck has been buffed to give 1 hit per point instead of 1/2 hit per point. This should help address lower hitrates in both modes (+3 hit to most unitsā hitrates
)
The price of ballistae has been made substantially cheaper
Ch20 has received significant nerfs in the form of making the assassins much less dodgy and buffing the green unit allies, as well as preventing the assassins from stealing (hopefully)
The defend condition for Ch20 should work now
All the S rank weapons are sellable now
Several prepromotes throughout the game have received minor stat buffs
Staff Animations for healing staves have been removed
Hard Mode
Ch12 has been changed from Defeat Boss to Defend as it was too difficult previously
Every chapter after Ch13 has received buffs to make them more difficult due to feedback that the game gets more lax later on
More effective weapons have been added later on to increase the challenge
