Honestly i think every game should be played as blind as possible the first time. What’s the fun in spoilering yourself every little thing that will happen in a game?

Just finished this fantastic game a little while ago and I just want to gush about how much fun it was! At first I found the game to be immensely difficult early on, but as I unlocked more tools and captured more enemies I found things to be more manageable. This was the first FE romhack I’ve actually ever played all the way through, and as someone who’s never beaten Thracia I found the willingness to stick to Thracia mechanics really refreshing.
My favourite units were Carmela, Alva and Liquirizia, but I enjoyed using everyone else as well! I was genuinely surprised when I found out that Ezekiel had a promotion in the story.
For those who haven’t started or finished A Vestrian Tale, I highly recommend that you do! It’s a rip-roaring fun time!

Greetings fellas. Mibbles is a cool person and I am pretty bad at English Grammar.
With our combined superpowers, Version 1.2.1 came to be. It mostly exists to polish the script, but it also contains a very small amount of gameplay related fixes.

AVT was the first hack I played that had the capture mechanic. The first time I saw the prices of items in the Armory, I worried that the game’s economy was strict. Due to the anti-turtle, I ultimately leaned toward stealing.
In the end, I discovered three entirely new physics in the convoy before the final chapter, and I couldn’t recall when I’d stolen them at all.
Oops. Looks like I was overreacting.
Setting that aside, the overall gaming experience is quite enjoyable. The story is concise and well-paced. The secret events on the Map bring surprises, and I can feel the love in them. The recipe section in the guide really paused me for a moment, and chuckled after clicking it.
I’m not a big fan of strict anti-turtle, but… when I finished AVT, I found myself willing to replay it, in a more relaxed way.
And my favorite unit is Alva. From portrait to personality, she’s utterly adorable. And she’s really strong.
I’m favoring her, obviously.
