Nope.
Just picked this one up…and my goodness that deal with the weird chickens got me creeped out hahahaha I love that kind of stuff!
I forget. Was the only way to take the crates out of the Tower in Chapter 18 by having someone Rescue them.and taking them out with them?
Also worth noting:
Spoilers
The route split… you did finish the autolevel for it right?
Because I’m about to lose a whole lot of my best units so like… I hope it is because I dont wanna have to fight the Endgame with a bunch of people I’ve barely trained.
Yeah, you need to rescue them out.
And yeah, it’s in.
20x thing
When Ellerie gives Mince the Bobble thing (that frog looking thing), is it supposed to go in his inventory then and there?
Because if it is, then something weird happens if its full- it doesnt go to the convoy namely.
Feedback for Chapters 21 and 22:
Spoilers
The monsters need to be toned back a little. Everyone gets autoleveled to level 12 but the issue is that the maps demand a lot of mobility and firepower from units who might not have it, even with the aid of the likes of Chalice and such.
But the biggest problems are the skills.
Tower Shield+ on the Silver Sword enemy in Chapter 21 just messes with the flow of the map in the sense that you can’t afford to stop but this guy forces you to- you can’t range him and thats an issue.
But the biggest issue award goes to Immunize and, to a lesser extent, Anticipation:
Immunize honestly needs to be nerfed to adjacent foes only- Chapter 22 already suffers from unit slot issues (nine people for a map that size? And without Ellerie? And you need to do this quickly? Really?) and Immunize kills any hope of momentum on player phase versus whats nearby as it stands.
Sure you can gun it for the enemy with Immunize- but thats not as easy as it sounds.
Because Anticipation cuts your attack by a fourth, it means that you might nlt be able to do enough damage to finish it.
Also the Dragons all need to actually be treated as Dragons. I can’t get effectiveness versus a wood dragon or a Mage Dragon with the wingpiercer because of this.
Is there a turn counter anywhere in the mod? Seeing as the exp fatigue mechanic exists (which I really like) it might be helpful!
The current turn count can be seen on the Status menu during a chapter.
Sheesh, this has got to be one of the few hacks in which I find the main character too much to digest. She comes across so annoying and imposing, not to overuse “edgy” these days, it is clear that her enemies are very right on something: that she is indeed EXTREMELY selfish. It doesnt help that so far, it seems like everyone lacks a spine to stand straight to her and tell her when she is doing too much and doing something wrong or unnecessary. I get that none of them are really that honorable or moral people, but even those like Oriana who seem more normal in terms of morality, seem to easily bend to her will, all it takes is Ellerie mentioning enemies potentially repeating the stunt they did with trying to kidnap her daughter. Not to even mention she speaks nearly the same way the enemies do when speaking about others outside of her company calling them brutes and other names, but thats expected, she is from the Mainland. Just ranting because it has been a long time since I had to play as someone I dislike so much, I hope all that is intentional, cause tbh, Im wishing for her to get a bit of a reality check further down the line so this story doesnt revolve around someone so unlikeable for me and framing her as a hero and someone Im supposed to like. Even the Archsage, I mean, she has the potential to remove Ellerie from the position she basically usurped by rallying a war, and then the even less of a backbone in THE CHIEF! He basically sees she has replaced him essentially taking it behind somebody’s back in such a cowardly way, and he just puts his tail between his legs and uses the excuse of the people wanting bloodshed to justify his incompetence and lack of drive to take his title back. For me, the story takes such a hit because of how it seems like everybody just bows down to Ellerie’s every demand with zero to minimal thought, effectively making her feel, imo, like another pompous girl making demands and paying those she might otherwise lump in with “those brutes” and the people of Irinde, where they to not comply with her every demand.
Hopefully something turns this around in the next chapters or in the final version of the hack, cause I mean I like the hack, it is fun playing as characters that you normally and strangely, no one seems to want to use, like people who transform into different types of dragons, not just the boring Fa-like type, weird and creepy chickens, a freaking cyclops, a mf zombie and even one of the enemy monsters (I chose the eyeball because I just knew enemies would lack resistance, as in most FE games haha). So, yeah, rant over. Of course I will finish the game, but my goodness, Im more and more on the side of enemies getting the last laugh by decapitating Ellerie hahahaha. I will blame it on my hero syndrome because of all the FE main games having the same archetype of the hero at the end of the day.
Pretty happy that you’re willing to finish the hack despite your issues with the protagonist.
Mainline FE gives plenty of opportunity to play the hero archetype, so it was goal for me to do a little (a lot) more of a selfish spin on the conquering hero.
I do agree that Ellerie could’ve used a bit more sustained opposition past the early game. Oriana and Tower are too indebted to raise a significant fuss in part 2, but Nerysa and Oren could’ve used more screen time regarding her problems.
Tbh I’m with Oren on this one- just… let Ellerie have her way. He’s indebted to her too much too at that point to really object.
oren could stop this all at any time with one full move oren special but he chooses not to, think about that.
True!
I’m at chapter 15 now, and I can fairly confidently say this is one of my favorite fire emblem hacks I’ve played. I really like that the protagonist is a powerhungry warlord!

a bug?
Nah its intended.
I think most people who have gone through this hack will probably agree the hero archetype is so tiring, and your take of a protagonist is refreshing. For those disappointed they can’t play as their usual Gary Stu’s there are a wealth of other rom hacks, series and actual Fire Emblem games they can try their hand at.
I find myself disagreeing a lot with user’s characterization of Ellerie coming off as “Edgy.” Her decisions in game seem a lot more realistic to what one would do in real life if they were put in the same situations. In terms of game play, I’ve been loving it so far. I like the non-traditional approach to skills and combat, and how the game is designed around extremes in stats.
In terms of writing, another hit again. To me the tone feels a little light and comical, characters are distinct, and also distinct in their wit. Lots of memorable moments, I found myself looking forward to the gaiden explore chapters just to see these bits of dialogue. It adds a lot of charm to the story. I also had no idea the rom can fit that much content. Favorite bits have been this consistent theme of some enemy being introduced, on some occasions the enemy may be incredibly powerful but not always, just to be immediately killed by something matter of fact. So tired of the “overarching big bad” theme in fiction. It is really refreshing to feel like anyone can be killed. I think my bias for realism in works of fiction may be showing ^_^;
Amazing work, good luck on the finished product, and thank you for your effort in creating such memorable content.
Honestly Ellerie being willing to do whatever it takes to establish some power for herself and strike back against her enemies in the mainland was a pretty significant part of what made the story unique for me. While I’m only at chapter 20 atm, I found myself really looking forward to see her amass more influence and settle her old grudges at home, and wanting to see what lengths she’d go to get to that point and what she lost in the process was one of several big hooks that kept me going. Like yeah she is undeniably a selfish and Not Good person but it makes sense why she acts like she does given the background provided on her.
While I do think it would be pretty cool for her to get more visible backlash, personally I remember thinking that a lot of what she’d sowed with her allies wasn’t direct opposition per se but more a layer of underlying resentment, something that’s bound to burst in a bad way sooner or later especially with Nerysa in the fold. I’d like to attribute Ellerie’s relative success to the relatively less developed nature of the Coast Crescent’s civilization as well, and in a more structured place like the mainland I bet she’d probably be shut down fairly quickly. It’s part of why watching her is still entertaining for me despite her amorality, she’s crafty and opportunistic and she keeps getting rewarded by the setting for acting in that way, and it’s interesting seeing that feedback loop lead to more drastic actions like Kidnap Child.
Agreed that this is a strong point, and again I think the undeveloped and less secure nature of the setting does wonders here in enabling this to work as well as it does. While I think the lack of a overarching villain with a strong direct presence weakens the draw of the first arc somewhat, I also think it adds enough to the setting’s vibes in the second arc that I’m willing to look past it.
1.0 release! Exactly 4 years since I started.

I gave myself a conservative estimate of completing the hack in 3 years. I was 33% over, but it’s felt way damn longer. But we’ve crawled over the finish line!

New mugs
Thank you Levin for quite a few portraits!

Thank you Devisio and Gold for potrait touch-ups!

New Gotoh-for-hire, the banger portrait is the work of good man Roze.

Changes, of course there was going to be last minute changes
I cannot resist touching early game with my greasy hands, Marlow gets an overhaul as a debuffer and combat healer.

Francisca gets a probably unneeded buff and Yvette joins the infantry refresh creep.

Krynia and Murky received reworks to their skill and prf respectively.

Ellerie trivia and my obsession with changing stuff that doesn't need to be changed
Fun fact, Ellerie went through 7 personal skill changes.
Version 1: Daunt
- Rejected because low % crit is eh.
Version 2: Armoured blow
- Rejected because boring.
Version 3: Silent pride and frenzy
- Rejected because lord is not meant to be a combat legend. (this did not age well)
Version 4: AoE sleep
- Rejected because… AoE sleep was really stupid. Don’t ask about the Marlow rework.
Version 5: AoE sleep + opportunist (for synergy, but with +10 dmg)
- Rejected because see above and also ranged lances.
Version 6: Summoner
- Rejected because… I don’t remember, actually. Maybe because it’d change the early game too much. (this did not age well)
Version 7; Lead by Example (+10 damage buff to adjacent allies on a kill)
- Honestly, this was a fine skill. Situational, but pretty powerful. However, me being someone who just can’t stop changing stuff, wanted the lord to be extremely powerful, cementing her presence in gameplay as well as in story. And that’s how we got:
Version 8: Lead by Example (dance adjacent allies on a skill
- I made this change when I was pretty far into hack development and unsurprisingly, this was the catalyst for a design change for the whole hack.
I’ve always loved skills that felt incredibly powerful in the player’s hands. As I learned more about stuffing around with builder, I got to making units a lot more extreme, from small bonuses to all kinds of refreshes, auto-repairing prfs and mobility boosts. Ellerie is a good example (though no unit has quite been buffed like she has). It’s shaped CC into a completely different hack to when it was before.
Is for better or for worse? I don’t know. If you ask me though, I am happy with the change. The hack is a good deal easier than before, but I have a good time putting extremely powerful tools to use.
