I figured out Guinevere’s spot, I considered making her my Zephiel replacement but nah, It’s too good for one scene, so I’ll keep that for later if the month passes or what not.

DO NOT PLAY BATTLE BEFORE DAWN ON HECTOR HARD MODE or why Jaffar's slot should be really really good
After some light testing on Hector Hard mode Anna!Zephiel dies by turn 10 pretty consistently IF Jaffar runs towards them otherwise her chances get much choppier since she can’t kill the 1 range enemies, the +4 res does make them immune to magic [aside Ursula],The brave bow is also heavy losing 5 speed as such they are left with 10, they will still die to the heros who have 16-18 speed, since they have less avoid on the axes it’s more likely Anna!Zephiel can be forced off the pillar earlier, after which they will then run to a wall or corner and die quickly due to losing all their avoid, this is worse when the merc reach the room on turn 6-7 if Jaffar ran away or dies, at that point they are very likely to die as they face low crit and can get damaged to the point they take just enough to not heal and die next turn…
However the Elixirs do stall well, they aren’t infinite [especially if two elixirs are considered duplicates and one is removed]
A silver lining is that Anna!Zephiel will not move to attack only heal.
To improve this the simplest choice would be to disable retreat in unit placer, however if messing with AI is off the table then there is nothing to do.
This is all without even considering Jaffar and Nino’s recruitment, depending on Jaffar and Nino’s replacements this might be better or much much worse.
Whoever replaces Jaffar better be really really good or Battle before Dawn will be borderline unbeatable on Hector Hard mode, Hero or similar class being the best choice as they have the best movement range to reach Anna!Zephiel in time without running too far away.
